  • Was Islam stolen from the Jews. ?

My Dad who knows everything told me that Mohammed began studying with Jews and wanted to become Jewish, but the Jews refused him because of he was a pedaphile and madman. So he stole the religion and went on to create Islam, adding to it his own ideas. My Dad says the Islamic religion is  politically based and not based on spiritual guidance. Can I hear from a scholar or expert please? No opinions.

  • Referring to biblical passages that support polygamy, doesn't this argument also assume that incest is ok?

Since most of the support for polygamy and multiple marriages comes from the idea that biblical scripture documents individuals having multiple wives or concubines, does this not then mean that incest is okay as well because the bible includes references to it?

    I'm just sayin'...

I'd really like to hear from those who approve of polygamy.

  • Meaning of Leviticus 19:29?

Summary of the passage is concerned about daughters and prostitution. In particular it states "do not (befall) daughters into prostitution, lest the land falls into prostitution and Becomes full of depravity."

    What exactly does this indicate?

  • What constitutes enough exercise for dogs?

I understand that most dogs typically need 20 to 30 minutes of exercise per day e.g. long walks. Is jogging for 10 minutes the same as walking for 20?

  • '97 Jeep- How can I make the passenger and rear power controls work?

It's a sport edition. Power control works on the driver side, but doesn't work any where else e.g. passenger side, etc. The fuses and wiring seem to check out okay using my fuse tester. What is the issue?

  • What do men get out of controlling a woman?

I'm looking for an answer deeper than just being insecure because I already know that's most of it. Beyond that what does it validate?

My fiancee is controlling in the nicest way possible, little things like nagging me about what it is I'm doing when I'm not physically by his side. We live together and I'm unemployed so I don't understand what more validation is needed other than that. I feel like we already spend alot of time together when his work slows down, but when it picks back up and he's back to 8-10 hour days, we still spend the whole evening, night, and morning together. When I'm not doing anything but using the internet on my iPod he nags me asking what I'm doing and when I'm going to be done. He sometimes even throws a little manipulation in there by telling me my favorite show is on TV, hoping I will stop whatever it is I'm doing and give my full attention to him. Or I will tell him I'm going on an errand and he comes up with all these excuses why I shouldn't.

  • Should I get my deposit back?

Sometime around the end of April, I placed a deposit on an APBT pup that had just been born. The litter was 2 days old the day I placed a $250 deposit (I asked for a handwritten reciept), the other $250 to be paid upon pickup after 8 weeks. Again, that was somewhere around the end of April. 1 1/2 weeks later, I found out that I was unable to have the pup and left a message about it for the owner. I asked him to call me back, and after another two weeks, still did not get a response. At that point I emailed the owner's sister inquiring about the issue and asking why he hasn't called to discuss it. She relayed the message, and after almost 2 days, he finally called. He stated that he will not be returing my deposit because he passed on other buyers because of it. My argument is that I gave him plenty of notice to find another buyer; the pups weren't even old enough to leave their mother when I told him I couldn't have him. He says he has every right to keep my money. I say I gave him plenty of notice and shouldn't have to take a loss. That's just bad business. Do I have a case to sue?

  • Are inexpensive OTC flea and tick meds...?

as effective as the ones from the vet/order online? When I get Frontline from the my vet, a six month supply is over $100. When I order online I can usually get it for about $65, but it takes 2-3 weeks to arrive. I was in Petsmart the other day and saw something I had never seen before: the same type of application (monthly drops) from Hartz. My dog has never had problems with fleas or ticks; she's the only household pet and is an inside dog. I know from my vet that when ordering pet meds online, there is no garauntee for the product, but so far they have worked just fine. I am wondering if the drops at Petsmart from Hartz are effective because that would be very convenient and much less expensive (a 6 month supply is 29$). . Does anyone know anything about this?

  • My dog drives my neighbors crazy!?

When I leave my apartment for whatever reason, my dog barks continuously and non-stop until I come back. My neighbors have told me this and I even spyed on my dog through the patio and watched her bark non-stop. I know how dogs think- she thinks that her barks bring me back home because I always do come back. But what can I do? I don't ever leave for long periods of time because I don't want to distress my neighbors. This sucks.

  • My poor dog's breath....?

She is 6 years old (Maltese) and when I got her I knew nothing about taking care of a dog. I didn't know that wet food and people food was bad for her teeth, and the first couple years I had her, that's all I fed her. Now of course, I know that wetfood and people food causes tarter build-up and decay in dogs, and I only give her all natural dry food now. But I'm afraid it's too late; her breath is terrible!! Poor thing, she's so cute but when she gets close, her breath is too funky and she isn't cute anymore:( I believe her diet, now, supports it from getting any worse. Unfortunetly it cannot reverse the damage though. Is there anything I can do, aside from having the vet sedate her and scrape all that junk off, that can help my dog's breath?

  • Can my 6 year-old maltese coincide with a Pitbull Terrior if i get the pit at 8 weeks? My maltese is kind of a?

My Maltese is the only pet in the household that my boyfriend and I share. We have no kids (yet.) And my Maltese (f) can be kind of a b***h. She thinks she is the queen. I wonder if the pup grows up knowing how she is, he will be used to it and allow her to think she is the boss. I have placed a down-payment on a purebred American Pit bull Terrior and he will be ready in July. I am researchinig because I don't want to make any mistakes. I know that pits can be animal agressive if provoked.
