This is part of a homework assignment, if I could be explained step by step I'd really appreciate it :) I need to form an equation with variables that get me to the answer. Thanks!

Topic: Using Equations to Solve Problems

Point: To create variables and use them in an equation form to solve for their values.

-x - 4 = 20

On Wednesday I'm gonna go to a Japenese mall (Mitsuwa Market);

& I'm Really Excited.! :D

BUT All my Chaperones are going to be talking in Japanese.

(If we talk in english we loose points)

I know how to read it and understand some questions.

(I'm barely a begginer)

So we have to practice by talking ONLY japanese,

& find our way out.

What are some helpful phrases or questions I can ask to people who work there.?

We'll have to complete a scavenger hunt so I'm gonna have to ask a lot of questions & respond,

(About ANYTHING in the mall like food, toys, or greetings...anything)

So if you could help me by telling me how to respond(& some phrases) that would be great!

Well I'm barely a beginner on Japanese & right now I'm learning particles & the way they work.

I'm just getting confused on the place they should be placed on & the way a sentence should be written.

Please correct me if I'm wrong with these particles. :)

De: by, means, of (Should always be put after the direct object & before the verb)

ex) Jitensha de ikimasho.

Ni: to, in , at, by <--What's the difference between this "by" & the other by from "de"?

From what I know, "ni" represents location & tells where one is.

ex) Gakko ni iru.

No: possesion [Should always be placed on_____?]

ex) watshi no konpyutaa.

O: how would you describe this particle for me to understand?

But i think this only works on motion verbs only.

ex)Naomi wa terebi o miru.

And where should o be placed in a sentence? After the object?
