  • lazy snake? won't "hunt" for food?

i have what i am convinced to be the laziest corn snake in the world. he used to actively seek out his food and strike at any moment he saw it, but now he won't eat it unless i put it down in front of him. he doesn't even lunge for it, he just picks it up and eats it. he's not injured or sick, as far as i can tell, so why isn't he hunting?

  • How to change Fn key settings?

A game I play online uses the F# keys a lot. One of which is the F2 key, which also seems to be, conveniently, the WIFI button. So if I'm online, and I accidentally hit F2, my internet shuts off.

How do I switch the F# keys with the icons?

  • Dell laptop randomly disconnects from internet and will not reconnect?

I was using my Dell laptop (amd64, windows 7 home premium) online last night around 10:00 PM EST with no problems. Completely out of the blue, the internet went to "limited access." I tried resetting the wireless button, and it didn't do anything. I tried rebooting, and that still did not give any results. I've run multiple scans and there are no viruses or malware on my computer, and aside from being unable to access the internet, it is working fine. Nothing happened to it that could suddenly cause the connection to go out, and I am using another laptop in the house right now to type this. My laptop is open, sitting right in front of me and unable to connect to the internet, but this one is connecting just fine. Mine can connect to wireless network, but can not access the internet. I tried troubleshooting the problem and all it told me was "'wireless network connection' doesn't have valid IP configuration" (which does not help me at all), and when I checked the additional information, it said "there may be a problem" (what a shocking revelation). There's nothing wrong with the IP, I've checked and everything is set to automatic. I was literally in the process of using the internet, and it just went *poof*. The signal strength is at three to four bars, so that's not the problem either.

  • Dell laptop overheating after 10-15 minutes, even when it isn't doing anything...?

I've had the laptop for about two years now, and everything worked fine until a few months ago. It will literally start overheating after ten or fifteen minutes, even if it's just open on the desktop with no programs running. The CPU will shoot all the way up to 100, and yet there are no programs causing it to be that high (I've checked "show processes from all users" too). The fan isn't broken and I've run multiple scans, there aren't any viruses on my computer. Why is this happening?

  • 6-7 month old corn snake, suddenly VERY active, not sure if hungry or just hyper?

A few months ago, I obtained a baby (4 months old to be precise) corn snake from a breeder. He feeds fine, in fact I moved him up to two pinkies because he's gotten so big and when I fed him one he started striking at me from in his feeding tank and looking at me like "that's it?" (next Thursday he'll be eating one fuzzy). He isn't displaying any signs of stress, and since I got him he's been fairly docile other than what's to be expected from a baby snake not used to handling. He'd basically spend all day hiding under his water bowl or sleeping in the shade under the climbing decoration, directly below the heat lamp. I live in upstate New York, and the temperatures in the past week or so have skyrocketed, so I'm wondering if perhaps the sudden change is affecting him as our house gets pretty hot.

For a few days now, he's been slithering all over his terrarium. It's a 20 gallon and he stretches about 3/4 of the way across its length. The humidity is usually between 20-30, the temperature on the cool side of his tank is 70 and on the heated side it ranges from 80-90 (like I said it's been very hot lately, so I've been turning the lamp off or else it gets too high).

I did notice that the lumps in his belly where the mice were, which are usually there for about two to three days, are gone. He ate yesterday afternoon. He didn't throw them up, I checked, and I'm wondering if it's possible that, because snakes need heat to digest food properly, the high temperatures caused his metabolism to speed up and as a result, he has all this energy? He's literally been darting all over, climbing and trying to climb the glass wall. Is it possible that he may even be hungry again???

    Does anyone have any idea?

  • Why does my cat bury her face when kneading?

I know why cats knead things, but whenever mine does it, she likes to cover her nose with whatever she's kneading. She'll just stick her face directly into a blanket or something, and knead it. She doesn't try to get anything out of it, like a kitten looking for milk would do, she just puts her face on stuff. I've looked around google but I can't find out why. Does anyone know?
