  • How do I get my web browser to work again after System Restore?

I'm running Vista on my laptop (please save the malicious comments). I happened to pick up some adware recently. I didn't have any antivirus software installed, so I went ahead and rebooted in Safe Mode, and then used System Restore to go back to when I updated to Opera 10.60, which was fairly recently. The adware and popups are gone, but for some reason when I try to open Opera (or FF, which I use as a backup) it comes up with a "Failed to Initialize" message. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

  • How do I transfer songs from a Zune to a new computer?

Hi! A friend of mine has a Zune with lots of great tracks, but he told me that if I were to try to transfer them to my laptop, the Zune's memory would automatically wipe since my laptop isn't the original computer it synced with. Does anyone know of any software or other methods out there that can be used to circumvent this problem? Thanks.

  • What would be the consequences of eliminating cash in American society?

I've been wondering about this for quite some time. As a consumer, it seems as if paying for anything these days is as simple as swiping a card. How much would the business world really change if cash money became obsolete?

  • AP Exams + Army Enlistment =?

I'm an Army DEPper, shipping out in June. So far, I've taken and passed 4 AP exams, and I am taking three more next month. I was wondering how many folks out there were able to transfer their AP credits to some sort of online schooling program while they were serving. Would this be a plausible way to make the path to a bachelor's degree a little less expensive, both in terms of time and money?

  • How Does Obama Actually Plan to Curb Spending?

By abandoning the Republican ideal of "fiscal responsibility," George W. Bush did a fantastic job of alienating his base supporters. When Obama's largely liberal base typically favors the expansion of social programs and, by extension, the federal government as a whole, how can he reasonably reduce government spending and get the economy back on track?

  • Can the IBA stop an RPG round?

Hey Folks, I was just wondering if the IBA is structurally capable of saving a soldier's life if he/she takes an RPG round to the chest.

Any descriptions of first-hand experience in the matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • In conversational Spanish, when is this appropriate?

Okay, so I'm a high school AP Spanish student (and a gringo, by the way), and there's something that's been bugging me.

When is it appropriate to omit the definitive article when using a noun? I know that if it is used as the subject of a sentence, the answer is never. But how about the object?

    Por ejemplo:

In the literal translation of: "Don't be saddish; have a radish,"

Would it be acceptable to say: "No estés triste; ten rábano?"

Or would it have to be phrased " ten UN rábano?"

    Thanks.

  • What Can I Read To Improve My Spanish Vocabulary?

I'm a 17 year old high-school student living in the United States. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good Spanish publications (preferably magazines) to read in my spare time. Thanks!
