Thoughts on SUNY Potsdam?
In my college search i came across SUNY Plattsburgh. When I visited I really enjoyed the scenery and Adirondack feel. Naturally I would look for other colleges in the area, and came across SUNY Potsdam. Any alum have some feedback on it? Maybe people who live in the area can share thoughts about the area? I plan on visiting the college, but I wanted to hear thoughts from people who are there most of the time.

1 AnswerPolls & Surveys1 decade agoConfused about my relationship...HELP!?
I met this guy online 8 months ago. When we first met we hit it off great and have talked to each other almost everyday since, whether through email, IM, or the phone. We go on webcam often and I am aware of his physical shape, which isnt very good at all. I gave him a chance though because he's one of the sweetest guys I've ever met and he has really great values which we share. Now that the relationship is getting a bit more serious, we're planning on meeting soon. Now it's really hitting home that the weight difference might bother me. I'm in good physical shape and play sports. Athleticism and interest in sports had always been a top quality that I wanted a guy to have, until I met him. Looks arent my top priority, but they do matter somewhat. I'm trying really hard not to be shallow. Do you think I'm settling?..or do you think that when we meet it really won't effect me?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade agoWhat song is this?! R&B or Pop?
I heard it on the radio today. I think it's pretty new like sometime in the 2000's. It was like kinda R&Bish and the singer sounded like R Kelly or maybe Usher but I'm pretty sure it wasn't one of them. Some of the lyrics were hard to make out but one of them I got was "standing on the corner.." something idk the rest. I know that's really vague but I think someone that like knows this genre of music well would know. The station plays mostly 90's to now so they choose the most popular songs. Thanks so much if anyone can figure this out!
1 AnswerRock and Pop1 decade agoHow to make Windows Live Messenger and AIM not sign me in and out when my computer "wakes up"?
When my computer goes into sleep mode it signs me off windows live messenger and aim (probably would do it with yahoo too). It's so annoying because I leave my computer and come back often, but I like to let it sleep because it makes it use less engergy (I think...right? lol). How can I change the settings to make them not sign me off..can i do that? lol
1 AnswerOther - Computers1 decade agoPoems about remembrance..?
Does anyone know any poems about rememberence that are famous or by a well known author. This is for school and we're supposed to have credible authors who aren't just random people writing stuff. Please help!
1 AnswerPoetry1 decade agoHelp! I dont know the name to this poem..?
I never wrote down the title when i copied it from a book. here it is..
Pear Avenue runs past the High school lot,
Bends with the trolley tracks, and stopes, cut off
Before it has a chance to go two blocks,
At Colonel McComskey Plaza, Berth'ss Garage
Is on the corner facing west, and there,
Most days, you'll find Flick webb, who helps Berth
out.
Flick stnad tall among the idiot pumps -
Five on a side, the old bubble-head style,
Their rubber elbows hanging loose and low.
One's nostrils are two S's, and his eyes
An E and O. And one is squat, without
A head at all - more of a football type
Once, Flick played for hte high school team, the
Wizards
He was good: in face, the best. In '46
He bucketed three hundred ninety points
A county record still. The ball loved Flick
I saw him rack up thirty-eight of forty
In one home game. His hands were like wild brids.
He never learned a trade, he just sells gas,
Checks oil, and changes flats. Once in awhile,
As a gag, he dribbles and inner tube,
But most of us remember anyway.
His hands are fine and nervous on the lug wrench.
It makes no differnece to the lug wrench, though.
Off work, he hang around Mae's Luncheonette.
Grease -grey and kind of coiled he plays pinball,
Sips lemon cokes, and smoke those thin cigars;
Flick seldom speaks to Mae, just sits and nods
Beyond her face towards bright applauding tiers
of Necco Wafers, Nibs, and Juju Beads.
..i didnt write the author either..darn it. i was in a rush. sorry i know it makes it hard. i hope someone can help!
