  • Exchange rate I will pay on balance of my reservation.?

I am traveling from the US to Scotland next summer. I have made reservations at several lodgings, and paid a deposit. When I pay the balance will I have to pay the exchange rate that was in effect when I made the reservation? Or the exchange rate on the day I actually pay the balance. Hope that makes sense! Thanks!

What's the name of this Ocean City townhouse?

I am trying to find out how to rent at a certain townhouse complex in Ocean City, Md and I don't even have a name for the place so I don't even know where to start! If anyone knows the name, or is an owner, or knows who represents any of these units (real estate agent) that I could contact, it would be a great help. They are located on the boardwalk between 25th and 26th St, ending at 26th St. (so just across 26th St from Jonah and the Whale) They are "older" units, 2 story and I believe each unit has a little area in front where most of them have a picnic table or lounge chairs etc set up. From Google maps it looks like you can enter from the boards or from an entrance in the back, off an alley of sorts. Basically any info would be greatly appreciated! The attached pic shows the North end of the units as seen from standing on 26th St. Thanks!

  • Is the beach between Parkwood St and Oakwood St, Bethany Beach, DE a public and usable area of beach?

We are trying to choose our vacation rental for the summer and on ALL the satellite imagery of Bethany Beach, there are NO PEOPLE on the beach between those streets. I am just hoping that, by some coincidence, there was something going on at the time the pic was taken that caused that part of the beach to be corded off. (maybe fireworks display, lifeguard training...something like that). Does anyone know for certain if that area is usually open to the public?

  • Does anyone know of an east coast beach where you can have a (small campfire like) bonfire?

I would like to find a cottage to rent for a week summer vacation on the beach, somewhere between New Jersey and North Carolina, where you can have a bonfire on the beach. Does anyone know of any locations that let you do this? Not really looking for a big fancy place. Just a little cottage by the shore!

  • Can anyone remember an artist from the 1970's?

Can anyone remember an artist from the 1970's (NOT BOB ROSS). He wore a scrunched up old straw hat and had scraggly whiskers. He had a show on TV much like Bob Ross's but he was older and really fun and GOOD! I just can't remember his name!

  • Where can I buy this paring knife?

Many years ago I just happened upon a little paring knife that quickly became my all time favorite. After quite a few years of use, I needed a new one but LOVED the style I had so I searched and searched until, low and behold, I found it online and ordered two. Well that's been more than 10 years now and I am in need again. Problem is...can't find it... and am getting so frustrated searching for hours online. My old one has no makers mark or writing of any kind on it and, of course, I can't remember who made it. I am REALLY hoping someone here can steer me in the right direction. This time...I'll buy 10 and they'll outlast me!!! :)

It has a wooden handle with 2 rivets. The blade is 3" long and the handle is approx. 4" long. The tang goes into the handle about 2" (although I don't care about that...I just add it to help identify the one I have now) The thing that's different about this knife is the shape of the blade. It has a curved edge that I love. The back of the blade (the non-sharp side) is really straight. The cutting edge comes out of the wood handle and is straight for about 1/4 inch then it curves up toward the top (the dull side) and then slowly back out away from that edge, then makes a sharper curve up to a point at the end. (Wish I could attach a picture, it's really hard to describe) Please don't try to sell me on another kind. I'm really tired of trying others that I just don't like. Really hope someone out there can help me out!

    Thanks in advance!!!

(and, yes, I know some people may want to tell me I shouldn't use wood but I just want help finding this please! :)

  • How do I find the parking garage at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square?

I am taking my church youth group to a weekend conference at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square. I will be coming in on Route 72, S. Queen St. I know the Hotel will be on my right when I reach the square but where do I go to find the parking garage? It would also be helpful to know, as I come in from that direction, how/where the unloading area is. Their website is not very helpful and when I do a Google map and go to street view, the pics were taken while some heavy duty construction was going on and I can't really tell what's what.

  • Does anyone have any knowledge of Sea Colony in Bethany Beach DE?

My family and I are going to Sea Colony in Bethany Beach, DE on vacation in a couple weeks. We have never stayed there before and we are getting mixed info on some rules etc. We know that we have to buy guest badges for the 3 of us who are actually spending the week there but our daughter may join us for the day on Sunday (possibly over night from Saturday to Sunday). We were told by our realtor that we could get her a guest pass, and not have to pay the $35 for a regular weeks pass for just one day. (We are renting through Crowley Associates, not through Resort Quest who seems to basically handle most of the rentals and run the place.) When I called Sea Colony Property Management to ask about a visitor pass etc. a very nice man told me "Sure, I'm sure we can fix you up, we can probably get you a temp. parking pass too." He then told me that this was handled through the Rec. Department and gave me a number to call. Now's when the confusion begins. These people said "No, there is no visitor pass, everyone who enters the property must buy a badge." (these cost $35) So I then proceeded to ask about our friends from Ocean City that we had planned on inviting to have dinner with us one night at our unit. Sure enough, she said they would have to purchase the badges. "Everyone who is on the property must have a badge." This is when I said wait a minute, you mean people who live here and invite someone over have to buy $35 badges to have friends in. She said "yes, everyone who is on the property must have a badge." Again I asked, "You mean if I purchase a unit at Sea Colony and want to invite someone to my house, I will have to spend $35 each to have friends over?" She said "Yes, everyone who is on the property must have a badge."

Now maybe I'm the crazy one here but that just can't be possible! Who would pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for a property that you can't even have friends over without paying a "fee".

Does anyone out there know how this place works for sure. Does anyone know where they might have community rules and regulations posted online?

Also, the first guy, the nice one, told me that the West side of Sea Colony, also know as the Tennis side, is not a gated community and this other lady told me it is. Anyone know that answer?

I was really excited to go here. The excitement is fading fast!

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

  • Has anyone ever stayed at Sea Colony in Bethany Beach, Delaware?

For our vacation this year, my family would like to try somewhere new. We're used to going to Ocean City, Maryland and for the past 2 years have gone to Ocean City, New Jersey because our daughter was working there. We'd like to try Bethany Beach since it seems much more laid back than OCMD, but yet close enoigh that we can "daytrip" down there if we want to. We want to rent a condo. We'd like to be able to drive as little as possible. I know Sea Colony has a shuttle that takes you around their property but does it also take you to the boardwalk or into "town"? (we'll stay at the tennis resort if we stay here, the ocean resorts are WAY to expensive) Is it a long walk if we want to walk to the boardwalk? Does anyone have any suggestions for somewhere else to stay? We have 2 adults and a 13 year old. We'd like to walk or bike a lot of the places we go and the 13 year old MUST have a pool! We'd like to spend around $1000 (or less of course) on the condo/apartment, for the week of July 23rd-30th. Any suggestions or info would be appreciated!

  • Are there any east coast beaches where you can have a campfire?

My family and I would like to find somewhere to rent a little vacation cottage on the beach in an area where you're allowed to build a small fire on the beach. Anywhere from Atlantic City south to Myrtle Beach. Anyone know of any place? I'd appreciate town/area name and if anyone has any leads on small cottages that would be great too! Thanks!

  • Does anyone know of an online landscape design tool that's free?

I would like to plan out my backyard so I am less likely to mess things up! Does anyone know of an online landscape design tool that's free? (Not the BHG garden design tool, it lets you design a small garden but I'm looking for something that would let me design my whole backyard.) If I could upload a photo of my own yard to use for the planning that would be a plus!

    Thanks!

  • Is there a way to undo a purchase on Farmville?

I just purchased an Antiques Shop for 350,000 coins and then immediatly realized I had already purchased one and had it in storage. I was trying to buy a couple things before they expired and in my hurry I didn't realize I had already done so. I have quite a few things I'd like to buy before it's to late and am almost out of money.

  • What happens if you don't rinse the dye out after tie dying?

My daughter always helps a friend tie dye shirts for the annual MS walk in our community. This year she's away at college and can't be here to do it and she's asked me to do them. She said after they wrap/twist them up and band them, and then apply the dye then they just remove the bands and hang the shirts out to dry. No rinsing. Everything I read says rinse, rinse, rinse. Anyone ever heard of NOT rinsing the dye out? What problems do you see happening with this? (She's done them this way three years in a row now...I just was never there to see it)

Has anyone ever done it this way?

  • Can I use green cayenne peppers in my cayenne pepper spice?

I want to make my own Cayenne Pepper spice. It is getting close to the end of the growing season where I live, and there are a lot of beautiful green chilies still on my plants. I'm wondering is if it is ok to use some of the cayennes before they get to the bright red stage. Can I dry some of the green ones and grind them along with the red? I hate to waste the green ones!

  • In Cafe World, will my dungeon door disappear if it's in storage?

Will my dungeon door disappear after Halloween if I have put it back in my inventory? (I spent a lot of coins on it and when I take it out temporaraly, like when I don't have any food ready & I don't want people to give me a bad buzz rating, a +1 shows beside it in my inventory) So what I'm asking is if I'm not using it when that item becomes no longer available will I lose it?
