I asked a question here in this forum to gather information to teach others that atheists do indeed arrive at their conclusions about God and the Bible through genuine study and reason. I got back the oddest answers. I was also accused of using "big-sounding" language to impress or something when in reality I'm teaching religion 101 and used the most basic terms used in this field. I have many atheists as friends and I am trying to teach other religious people that atheists are just as well educated and studied as they claim they are in their decisions of conscience, but this is what I got. Where did all my educated atheists go?

I am interested in learning what form of analytical hermeneutics were helpful in coming to your conclusion and which Bible translation was used, and why that one over others? How were your conclusions verified and how can these verifications be tested so that others might see if your hypothesis and conclusion coincide with scholastic data?

The Nash Papyrus (of the 2nd century BCE) contains a portion of a pre-Masoretic Text, specifically the Ten Commandments and the Shema Yisrael prayer. Are there other extant manuscripts that are even later, maybe some that were developed during the Masoretic era?
