I was with a guy for 9 years, I moved town; mainly to put an end to our dysfunctional relationship and to make a better life for myself, I ve been in contact with him a lot recently and he always tells me he loves me and misses me, which he hardly done when we were together- his emotions were always locked away when we were together (exactly like BIG in SATC!!!)

I am a young black lady and I am very very Proud of it..... I like black men but why are they soo disrespectful to black women? ... Black men why do SO many of you let us down?Some of you even think its cool to cheat! As Iam growing older I am starting to realise that the stereoptypes portrayed in the media might not be so far from the truth! I am basing this on things I have seen from friends and when I have been approached and dated in the past. I do understand that not ALL black men are this way inclined however it seems as though it is the majority.. Please can you help me to understand why I am faced with so many counter productive black males in society today?

I found out over christmas this guy whom i ve been friends with for a few years is dating my second cousin. He 's always been flirty and friendly with me he used to phone me loads! I sensed he had a girlfriend, I aksed but he said no, her mum (my grant- aunt confirmed it was him etc)I was more upset with the fact he didnt tell me- I said I didnt want to speak to him anymore, I know im not jealous, however we have admitted we fancy each other, and felt annoyed he kept it so close to home. He has had a partner before and so have I-but I feel uncomfortable that now its a family member- How would you feel?
