  • Can't afford to travel to out of state friend's wedding. What to do?

I just found out that a good friend of mine, who lives in CA is getting married over Thanksgiving weekend. Her wedding is in CA. However, I am a bridesmaid in another friend's wedding in October. There is just no way I can afford a flight and hotel, plus all of the expenses related to being a bridesmaid in another wedding in the span of a few months. The friend has said that she would understand if I couldn't make it, but I still feel guilty. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do to ease the awkwardness of this? Has anyone else been in this situation? How did you handle it?

  • What to do for Valentine's Day-Just started dating!?

So I've been seeing this guy for about a month now, and everything is going AWESOME! However, both his birthday AND Valentine's Day are in the same week! I want do something that shows him that I am enjoying the time we have spent together so far, without totally creeping him out and seeming like a clingy and overly intense nutcase. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Thanks!

  • How do I change the incoming call display on my V3 Razr?

I just bought an unlocked Motorola V3 Razr online. I've been going through setting it up, saving all of my contacts to my new SIM card, but for some reason, whenever I get a call or a text message, only the number is displayed, not the name of the contact, even though these people are already saved to my SIM card. How can I get incoming calls and text messages to display the caller's name, not their phone number??

  • What to serve at a March Madness Party?

I am planning a watch party for the final four in the NCAA tournament. I've come up with some fun ideas so far:

Squares, those little temporary tattoos with final four team logos, brackets, beer, munchies and of course, a 42" HDTV.

I'm having some trouble coming up with a main dish though. I have a veggie tray and a recipe for a great dip, but I want to have something a little more substantial, yet still easy to eat. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

  • Question about Thalys stop in Antwerp?

My question is about the Thalys train station in Antwerp (Belgium). If you are looking online at the schedule and want to take the train from Antwerp to the Paris Nord station, which one would you use? There are two listed: Antwerpen Centraal and Antwerpen Centraal ABS. What is the difference between the two?

Any information anyone would have about this would be greatly appreciated!

  • Suggestions for Fall-Themed Prize Basket?

I know this is a little early, but every year I have a pumpkin carving party around Halloween. To change things up a bit this year, I am planning on having a contest for the best pumpkin, and as a prize, I want to put together a basket of goodies. Any suggestions? I like to plan early, that way I can find the best deals!

I already have picked out a pumpkin pie scented candle.

  • Where can I report an abused animal?

Today I was walking through the Strongsville Mall, which is located just south of Cleveland. We passed the PetLand and I saw there was a Persian Kitten display out front. I wandered over to say hi to the kitties, and I noticed that one particular kitten had a severe eye problem. He/she either had an ulcerated cornea or a really bad eye infection. It brought me to tears and I was so upset, but knowing this is a pet store, I'm certain if I'd have said anything to the manager, nothing would have happened. I've been looking around online for a website that would help me find out where I can report abuse, but I'm only finding links leading me to donations for the ASPCA and Humane Society.

Does anyone know a number or a link to a website where I can report this? Besides, the Better Business Bureau, which I have already done.

I'm located in Cleveland, so please do not give me information for a city like, Seattle or Miami. That will not help.

    Thanks

  • Childhood friend has feelings for me, how can I let him down gently?

I've recently rediscovered a friend I've had pretty much since birth. Our families are friends and he is almost like a brother to me. Just the other day, out of the blue, he admitted to me that he's had a thing for me ever since we were young. I'm in a happy and serious relationship and have no plans on changing that. How can I let this guy know that I acknowlege his feelings but cannot reciprocate them, without being too harsh? His friendship is very important to me, and I'd hate to lose that.

  • Lately my feet have been going numb during my workout. Any suggestions on what causes this?

I work out on a truefitness elliptical thing, and about 10 minutes into my workout, I start losing feeling in my feet, I get that "pins and needles" feeling. I've tried loosening my shoelaces, and it doesn't seem to help. If I go backwards for a few minutes it does help me get the feeling back in my feet, but it's still really annoying. Any ideas on why this is?
