  • Cosmic Unconsciousness...?

Alot of people don't realize what's really going on... They view life as a bunch of unconnected incidences and things... They don't realize that there's this, like, lattice of coincidence that lays on top of everything... I'll give ya an example, show you what i mean... Suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp... Suddenly somebody'll say 'plate', or 'shrimp', or 'plate of shrimp' out of the blue, no explanation... No point in looking for one either... It's all part of the cosmic unconsciousness...

  • Location specific ads - How'd they do that?

I have noticed that some ads on the net are able to pinpoint a surfers location, like "People in Sometown waiting to meet you!"... now, I understand how they could get the ISPs city, but I see some that pinpoint it further, where "Sometown" is not the city where the ISP is located, but is correct for my location... I do not allow cookies, and do not fill out any forms with my location, I don't see any way that a website could ferret out this information with just an ip number to go by...

it seems that it is done using zip codes; say, my ISP is located in Bigtown, I also live in Bigtown, but right on the city limits, and my zip code is actually a Sometown zip... the ads will say "Sometown"... as I said, I don't fill out any forms, never enter my address or zip code in anything, no cookies, etc...

Anyone have an idea how this is done? and sorry for the silly place names :oP
