What to get husband for Birthday to make his life easier...?
We are going to be bringing home our second child sometime in April. So, for Christmas he got me a remote starter for my truck so it would be easier for me to pack everybody up comfortably when I'm alone with the two of them. It's his birthday this week, and, I wanted to get him something to make his life easier once I go back to work and he is alone with the kids at night. I saw a remote for lights/small appliances that I thought might help if he were busy with the baby and our 3 year old needed something turned on... But looking for any suggestions!

Going to get a full bikini wax for the first time tomorrow to simplify things now that I'm preggo with my 2nd child... But I've gained quite a bit of weight since having my first and very self conscious about going for a procedure that is usually reserved for the "bikini thin"... Am I being stupid???

2 AnswersFast Food1 decade agoNeed a little support on stopping breastfeeding...?
I have been having SO much trouble with my breasts since just a couple weeks after my DD was born... 3 abscesses... one that landed me on an operating table under general anesthesia... never really got a huge supply and I TRIED so hard to keep her on the breast... even having her feed off the breast with the 3 incisions... I grew up knowing the breastfeeding is so very important and have talked to so many lactation councelors that gave me tons of advice... all of which I followed the best I could and my breast surgeon (whom I ended up visiting on a regular basis for over two months) has BEGGED me to wean so that I can stop taking antibiotics and heal. DD does fine with formula, but I feel so GUILTY! She's 4 months old now... only getting 2 breastmilk bottles a day (I pump and give to her in bottle) How many of you stopped breastfeeding at around this time and does it REALLY hurt them to stop this early? Thanks for the help! (and support)
6 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoMy baby seems to be going backwards with her eating...?
My soon-to-be 4 month old is still eating every 2 hours... like a newborn and just recently we started trying to give her more per feeding (from 4 to 5 1/2oz) and at first she was taking all of the bigger bottles and seemed happier... thought we solved a dilemma, until she still was taking those larger bottles every two hours. So, figured it was just that she was getting bigger and needed more to eat. So, continued with the 5 1/2oz bottles every two hours for about a week until she started only finishing 2 or 3oz before refusing the bottle, but then wanted to finish the bottle about an hour later... HELP! what started out with progression has now turned backwards? Anyone else go through this? Would appreciate any advice or just to know that she is normal.

7 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoBest way to transition 3 month old from family bed to crib?
My DD is now just over 3 months old and I want to start to get her used to sleeping in her crib at night. Right now, she fusses a little in the middle of the night, but I put her on the breast and she falls right asleep. I'm thinking she's getting old enough that if I put her in her crib she could probably soothe herself in the middle of the night and she wouldn't need the breast just to go back to sleep. Also, up until now, we've only used her crib to keep her safe while we're doing something around the house and she lies there and watches her mobile. (one of her favorite passtimes) Have we ruined her ability to associate her crib with sleep time? Help me get some sleep and maybe get a little alone time with my husband... please!
8 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoHow do I get my house fixed after IKE?
New at this... Don't think I have enough damage to file a claim since my deductible is $1265. I only need to get my fence fixed, shingles replaced, and a piece of glass in a window replaced. (we were blessed to have only this much damage) My insurance company is based out of Galveston and is unavailable right now. I don't even know who to call to ask for advice! Then, how do I find a good company to come fix these things? HELP!

I have had reoccurring mastitis and breast abscess that landed me on the operating table. Have to get better for me... but still want to give my DD at least some of the benefits of breastfeeding. Anyone know how to produce milk on just one side? Thanks!
