Since when I was 8 I want to be a software engineer but I passed my HSS taking biology science (no computer).

I don't know any basic computer programs like C,C++ but still I want to go for C.S & Engineering

But my Father want me to go for Mechanical Engineering & Mother want me to go for Civil Engineering.

So which one should I finalize?

I am not so good @maths, I like the field requires less physical work & I am really interested in IT/Computer field.

Money is not problem I know all doesn't depend upon money.

Who is a software engineer..Btech IT graduate or CSE graduate?

Please kindly help me choose one of them.In my childhood days I always dreamed to be a computer engineer.But now when it comes to the time where I has to make a decision about it it I'm in bit trouble & confusion.

My friends are all going to Mechanical and tell me neither Civil nor CS is better than it and saying u have a wide variety of scope and options after Mech.Also salary for Mech. is higher than latter ones.But money doesn't matter much to me as long as I have a happy life.

I had 45% marks in Maths,65% for both Physics & Chemistry in my +2 class.Please help me to select the best one from Civil, Mech & CS which will be apt and easier for me to study.
