1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade agowhen cooking quiche, why is the pastry precooked?
All the recipes i have come across mention covering pastry with baking paper and then covering it with rice or dried beans then popping in oven for ten minutes.
What is the reason for doing this?
8 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoAre online surveys and data entry jobs authentic or fraudulent?
These need a paid member ship and they claim that you get paid for taking part in surveys, data entry, typing ads etc. Some charge upto $70 membership and claim payment will be either in form of cheques in the mail or direct bank transfer. These sites claim you can earn a lot of money. It sounds too good to be true. I am tempted to give it a go but want to hear from people who have tried and tested it.
Has anyone tried the above and what experiences have you had with this?

7 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoWhat are some nutritious and easy vegetarian recipes for a 4 and 1/2 month old baby?
My baby is 4 and a 1/2 months and i want to start him on supplementary feeding. he is exclusively breastfed and we are vegetarians. today i gave him mashed banana with some expressed breastmilk. He took to it allright. Any suggestions as to other fruits/foods that i could prepare for him. I am not too interested in buying ready made food and would like to prepare my own , however as he grows older custard and yoghurt preparations are some things i would buy. I have asked my mum for advice and surfed the web a bit but i am also interested in your experience. Only experienced parents/caretakers reply please.
10 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoTo pacify or not?
Hi i have a 3 month old darling little boy.I am exclusively breastfeeding him. He feeds well but half an hour later starts to suck his hands getting his mittens wet as a result. I know he doesnt do that in response to hunger. ( he has been gaining weight steadilly) How do I get him to stop that? I am not a big fan of pacifiers as they cause nipple confusion and I think my bub sufficiently exercises his jaw when he feeds, but i have met a lot of people who swear by pacifiers.
Any suggestion mums?
