  • In a world "without humankind?"?

Our planet will continue to thrive!,so my question is:"what purpose do we have here?",all we do is eradicate species to extinction, invent wars and pollute.I know nature is a cruel and "dog eat dog"society..but I couldn't imagine any other mammal or insect having the capability of "achieving" our level of destruction?,..of course without our medical advances and medicines/vaccines the population would be kept in balance by uncontrollable malicious diseases and viruses(as it was just a few centuries ago for us!),I like being a human, but we have the power at "the push of a button" to destroy ourselves and all other lifeforms,...who gave humankind the deciding factor?

  • If I were travel away from earth at "the speed of light"?

Theoretically,(given the space and time continuum?),I could witness the future of earths destiny whilst looking back?,..imagine the scenario within just a few hours into my journey..the world explodes in a nuclear holocaust!,....could I ever return "back home"?,..even if it would take me all my life at "today's normal space velocity?" to return?

  • If all the "Worlds" gold reserves were sold today?

I guess it would lead to the collapse of its value within the market?,so its just like oil reserves....they have plenty in stock, but if you keep hold of it,you can ask an" exaggerated" price (supply and demand!),who agrees?

  • Downloading and copying issue(circa 1978!),so who is responsible?

Once upon a time,....someone sold the general public a means to record and copy music, radio broadcasts etc!...it was called a "cassette", (I remember it well,I think it was made by sony/tdk?),My friends and I used to copy each others music (from vinyl records ,other cassettes and radio broadcasts etc),..then came the video cassette...we copied every film available(from any source- VHS to VHS or recorded( downloading is a modern terminology for recording!),anything we chose from the BBC or any other channel at the time?.So ...did these companies make no money from us purchasing their "blank " music and video cassettes?,what did they think we would use them for?.Today ...we have CDs,DVDs,computers and Hard Drives that could store my entire life experiences and memories, all my life's favourite films and my entire music collection since 1970>,It's like selling a camera and then saying that it's illegal to view the pictures taken?.Either make the internet connection pay the "Artists" like a licence fee.?.or accept that we will continue to download onto "legally" sold software provided by the same companies who own copyrights to a majority of the actors and artists who complain about "illegal" downloading,I hope this makes sense?,as i I'm confused ?

  • I have a solution to eradicate benefit fraud(Maybe?)?

If I were Prime Minister?,my solution would be simple!.I would create an Amnesty for all those on unemployment, housing, and disability benefits...it would work like this:for those claimants on unemployment benefits..I would make them sign-on "Daily",but Alternate mornings and afternoons(so they would not be able to "keep an undeclared job") .Anyone claiming disability benefits would have to "verified" by a visiting doctor(or psychiatrist etc, depending on the disability claimed?),...and now for the big one!...Everyone who claims for housing benefit would have to provide (without exception!) the following:Their Passport, proof of address (in the means of gas, electric bills or council tax statements etc),bank account details including the last 6 months statements! (to check direct debits and income of the benefactor),I said this is an "Amnesty!",so therefore all those claimants who don't manifest within 2 months of their benefits being "suspended,"allowing for holidays of course!" ..( but not claiming heating allowance in southern Spain?).,will become permanently "Written off" as claimants, unless they can provide a decent excuse or necessary details?.They would not be punished but simply " totally blacklisted" ,I'm convinced that it would save billions (even after the initial cost for "short term recruitment" of extra staff to do all the paperwork etc etc),who agrees ??

  • I have decided to save the planet from global warming?

As from today...I will never drive a car, take a plane flight, get on a train,go anywhere on holiday, switch my household lighting and heating on, go to any restaurant ,supermarket ,shop ,fast food establishment, dry cleaners, concerts, theatre, cinema, bar, nightclub, take a taxi, a bus or even hitchhike!,welcome to the "Green Planet?",as you are online!, I just hope that your computer is powered from a100% renewable source?,I just hope that someday I could meet somebody who has a "Zero carbon Footprint",but I guess he (or she) would live in a cave, without a fire,(as that contributes to carbon emissions?),eating only raw meat and vegetables/berries or fruit..etc etc...and lets just hope that they never fart(methane pollution)

  • How far back in history could "DNA" technology link humankind with apes and even dinosaurs?

If there is no sustainable proof?,I would guess that humankind quite simply "out -evolved" all the other species since the 250 million year reign of the dinosaurs as "evolution?",does anyone agree with the possibility ( via DNA tests),that we had absolutely no link to apes,chimpanzees..or dinosaurs, that we actually descended from somewhere else within the infinity of the cosmos?,no proof so far....?...please don't quote from the "BIBLE",But I guess they will try will to convert me anyway!!!

  • The british public now own 83% of the royal bank of scotland!?

I'm not an accountant, but does that not suggest that existing "account holders" have now become "shareholders" in a publicly owned bank?,I'm sure there are several "loopholes" to avoid the layman voting on how the bank is run etc etc...including bonuses!!,and if they sack staff to economise, who will pay them all their unemployment and housing benefits?,I think it would be the government?...in my opinion it would be more cost effective to keep those affected by redundancy employed, and reduce the salaries of those directors who created the collapse in the first place!!!.I'm glad I live in france now,at least they have an elected president and prime minister!

  • If "humankind" became totally vegetarian...What would be the consequences?

As a race, we dominate over all the other herbivores, but just imagine the scenario if we decided to become vegetarian as from today?.we would start to eat all their provisions..this would allow all the "herbivores" to become "carnivores" as we deplete all their natural vegetation, without their source of food they would no doubt become our predators?

  • Who would believe that humankind came from somewhere else in the universe?

We as "earth dwellers"..have sent explorer satellites into the cosmos since 1977,and can see into deep space with the hubble telescope etc etc...we have also examined our own planet(apart from the deep ocean bed?),so given our technology as of today, would it be incomprehensible to imagine that "other civilisations" have visited our planet??,if gorillas and chimpanzees are 90%+ of our DNA..why haven't they evolved at the same rate as us?(missing link),I guess that another more advanced race of species(known as aliens),came here a long time ago and "genetically modified" us!..lets face facts...we can do this now,but perhaps a few million years ago some others could of done exactly the same?.Is the universe as we know it of the same age?,of course not..we can see at least 5 billion years into the past via telescopes,I will appreciate all answers that don't involve "adam and eve"!!!!

  • Who could estimate what the worlds population today would be ?

Without advances in medicines and vaccinations, hospitals and social health care?,I guess the human race would "suffer" natural wastage(hard to swallow),but ....without any of the above ...who would agree that the worlds population would actually be of a sustainable level?,given the fact that everyone who died" in all the world wars to date!,"would be a small portion of all those poor souls who succumb to the plague!

  • Who would buy a compact disc or dvd for £3 pounds?

So ,as a compromise to all those "poor and starving musicians and actors who complain about illegal downloads?"...why not make your films and music more accessible by simply allowing folk to either:

Download their music and films in "Blue -Ray" (for films),or loss less quality for cds via the internet?

Or: make the same compact discs and DVDs available in the high street shops at the same price?.

The way I evaluate this is :

Everyone is happy!,why..because the shops would be re-vitalised with new customers and that produce more employment etc etc...and the "legal download" providers would still benefit...How?...It's obvious, with 10,000,000+ illegal downloads per day..I would prefer a 5% slice of that ,compared to nothing?..if greed and ignorance continues within the music and film industry..they will have to go and ly in their beds they made?,anyone agree on this?

  • The big copying and downloading issue?

Here I am again!,please;can anyone tell me ...;Why all the fuss?,I can go to my local library and loan 4 compact discs per day(for an annual fee of £20)...so if I used this option 5days a week, for the whole year,I could theoretically "burn" 1,040 compact discs in "flawless quality" and with all the bonus tracks and covers for a pittance!,but that's not all the story...I could also lend them to my friends the same night(who could then do the same),and they could lend them to their friends etc..etc...they could then upload these compact discs via e-mail or upload them onto a "file-sharing website?",...all this within 24hrs!.Even if my friends didn't leave home, the same could happen within a few minutes or hours,or maybe they will just burn the CDs onto the widely available multimedia (blank cds, dvds, hard disks or their mobile/Ipod),supplied by the same people who complain about "illegal downloading",such as sony etc....?.I would happily buy a cd or dvd for a reasonable price, and I'm sure that even the artists and actors involved would prefer to gain at least 10 % of all the illegal downloads at a reduced price, as compared to nothing????,This is just the tip of the iceberg in cyberspace,I just want to see if anybody is on my side?
