  • How would a family member make automatic payments to me?

I loaned money to a family member across the state, and we would like to set up an automatic payment schedule. She gets paid weekly, so it would be easiest for her to do a weekly payment of $35 until the balance is paid off. (This was agreed upon until other high-interest debt is paid off first)

Paypal does free transfers to family members, but there is no recurring payment option.

I'm looking for solutions, and creative solutions are encouraged! Thanks.

  • Can I use an android without a plan?

My brother upgraded his Android phone and gave me his old one. I don't want to pay for a data plan. Can I connect to Wi-fi and get apps without activating the phone on my cell phone account?

  • Can I make a duvet cover from a comforter?

I bought a comforter from Bed Bath and Beyond, and I hate that fact that it costs me $8 every time I need to wash it because my washer and dryer are too small to handle it. Which means that keeping it and using it will cost me $$. Therefore, I was wondering if I could pull out the quilting, and rip some of the bottom seam and make it into a duvet cover for my existing down comforter. Has anyone tried it? Any tips?

  • Will epoxy melt a ziplock bag?

I need to make a 1/4" bead of epoxy for a project I'm working on. All I have are the two parts of epoxy to mix together. I was wondering if I could pour it into a heavy duty ziplock bag, and pipe it out of a cut corner, kind of like cake icing. This of course would be a very bad idea and very disasterous if the epoxy dissolved the plastic. I think it has the consistency of caulk, but I don't know yet, because I haven't mixed it yet.

  • Any suggestions on food storage containers that are glass, no-leak, nestable, and rectangular?

I've been using Gladware for quite a while now, and now I'm looking for something that is glass so that it doesn't stain or take on odors. What I would really like is a set that is rectangular, so I can fit more in my tiny fridge, and nestable, so they don't take up storage room in my tiny kitchen. Plus leak-proof, so I can toss them in my lunch bag without making a mess. Plus various sizes would also be nice.

The Pampered Chef prep bowls are my inspiration. They come in a set of 6, in 1-cup sizes, they nest really well, and are leak proof. Now I would like something better for leftovers. Does anyone have any suggestions?
