4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy can't religious people understand that their faith is actually faith in men?
All religious people believe what they have been told about their god/gods by other people. That is not faith in a deity but trust in other people. If god has revealed himself to them then it is not faith at all. It is fact and since their are no gods to reveal themselves it is actually delusion.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf hell is the absence of god how is that different from life on earth?
There are many descriptions of hell but the moat basic is that you will be separated from god for eternity. How is that different from life in earth since god is not active in our lives here?

7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhich is religion makes more sense Christianity, Islam, or Satanism (Anton LaVey's version)?
Christians and muslims both believe in the same god. They believe that their god is all-powerful and create everything. They believe in eternal paradise or eternal suffering depending how you are judged at death. Satanist believe there is no god and no heaven or hell. They believe you live your life as you please and let others do the same.
24 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do Christians ask "Are you saved" when what they really mean is...?
..."Do you have the exact same religious beliefs as me"?
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoPlease help me to understand this.?
An all-powerful being created the universe and everything in it. He created man and filled him with curiosity and desires. He then gave man a bunch of arbitrary rules that challenged man to ignore his god given desires and told man not to seek knowledge. As punishment for breaking these rules he decided man should suffer eternal damnation. He could have chosen any punishment he wanted. One year without the use of yours hands or two days with no food seem like reasonable punishments for petty offenses but god chose eternal suffering. Of course mankind could not live without breaking the rules so god decided to help man out. He could have changed the rules. He could have lessened the punishments. He could have given man stronger will power or lessened mans desires. Instead he chose to have his son crucified. Then he condemned the ones that crucified his son to eternal suffering even though he required the crucifixion to satisfy his own desire for carnage. Now as a member of mankind I have the option of believing that Jesus died for me or suffering eternal damnation. Of course god did not tell me this directly. He chose a bunch of charlatans and pedophiles to inform. I am not only supposed to believe these men but I am supposed to give them 10% of my income and I am supposed to have a overwhelming love for this all powerful being. The fact that I find all of this ridiculous and think that any such being is sadistic at best, condemns me to eternal suffering. Does that pretty much sum it up?
