  • Gmail: How do you sort by last name?

Is there an "address book", so to speak? Right now, my contacts show up on the left-hand side of my window. Is there a way to show ALL my contacts, and select which ones I want to send Email to, WITHOUT having to set up a custom list?

And is there a way to sort my contacts by their last name, instead of their first name?

    Thanks!

  • Customized Tickers for my website?

There are a load of websites out there that provide you with a script, but they require that you choose from their preselected generic clip-art. Is there any way, or any site that provides the service, where I can customize my ticker with my own images?

(I'm asking this question here, because I know a lot of you have pregnancy tickers on your myspace pages and otherwise.) Thanks!

  • A Question for the Ladies: Is Your Husband Ambitious or Not?

I could really use some advice, here. I'm getting tired of nagging my husband to go out and get a job. He's been unemployed for 6 months and has put in more applications than you can shake a stick at, but he hasn't gotten any calls back because of a saturated job market and the fact that we're in an economic recession.

He's understandably gotten really depressed because he feels like he can't contribute, but it's to the point now where he's stopped trying completely, and it's eating at my nerves.

I go to work every day and bust my tail, and some days I come home to find him still in his pajamas. He knows how I feel, and yet he still acts happy-go-lucky and expects me not to harbor any resentment and to just let him do as he wishes on his own time.

How do you support your husband, even when you want to kick him in the *** and smack some sense into him? What has worked for you when it comes to giving your man some motivation?

He talks big, but I need results! /rant

  • What should I name my male kitten? "B" names only!?

We just adopted a kitten from the pound today. (Baldwin Park, CA... if you want a kitten, they have at least a dozen of them and they're all cute as heck!!)

We already have a cat, and a dog... Bailey and Barney. We really want to name our new boy something that starts with "B" also, but the only one we can agree on is Bowie.

What are your suggestions? B-names only, please! :)

  • What kind of non-shine preservative/topcoat can I use on a wall mural?

I just finished a nursery mural and I need to know where I can find a preservative that will not shine when it dries. I need to apply it over the painting so that it won't rub off the walls if my client needs to clean them.

  • Recommendations for a Korean Video Store in the Los Angeles area?

Or perhaps maybe online video rentals? I'm looking to rent some Korean dramas (without subtitles), but since I'm not Korean, I don't have any idea where to look.

    Thanks! :)

  • Baby Shower for a Coworker (Creative Gift Ideas?)?

I work for a large company, and I was invited to a baby shower for a coworker who is in a different department.

I hardly know her, and my budget is already stretched pretty thin, so I don't really want to purchase something from her expensive registry.

Do you have suggestions for cute, creative baby shower gifts? She's having a girl and her theme is butterflies.

I was thinking about maybe making her a baby scrapbook/album so she can just insert her own pictures.

  • My man eats like a football player, but he's NOT. How do I curb his appetite?

I love my husband, but he has the world's worst nutritional behavior. He used to be a football player, but he's 34 now, and he hasn't played sports in years. He still eats like he did when he was training, though!

He wants to lose weight, because he will be starting a physical training program for his career in law enforcement. But he thinks that if he starves himself all day, and then has a huge dinner right before he goes to sleep, that he's going to get healthy.

He's a very intelligent man, so I can't understand why he gorges himself on all kinds of crap when we have a kitchen full of healthy foods.

So guys, I'm asking you... How in the world can I educate my man?

  • I got married in October. Should I file my taxes joint or individually?

I live in California, and my husband and I rent our home. We basically live paycheck-to-paycheck.

I'd obviously like to maximize my tax return. I'm not sure if I should file my taxes with my husband, or if I should file them as an individual, like I always have.

What are the penalties or advantages? I haven't found anything about it on TurboTax. Thanks!

  • When a prospective employer asks you about your faults during an interview?

I have a phone interview today for a corporate position. In past interviews, one of the queries my interviewer had was concerning my flaws. Since I don't want to look bad (because I obviously want the job) and I don't want to jeopardize my chances, what should I say?

  • Tips for Running with a Bad Knee?

My husband has an old high school football injury that prevents him from participating in most running activities. He's 34, and in great shape, otherwise.

Normally, I would just have him flick it in and avoid activities that make him uncomfortable, but...

He is taking a physical examination and going through a 6-month training period for his job in law enforcement, and jogging/running is a part of what he has to do.

He's not disabled by it or anything... he can still jog short distances, squat, kneel, bend, etc with no discomfort.

Do any of you have bad knees, or know someone who does? If you are physically active, what do you do to support your knee, or to prevent it from bothering you, besides just popping a couple of Advil and hoping for the best?

  • Baby Shower ideas/activities for a Boy?

My best friend is having a boy, Zachary James, in April. Her mother is hosting the baby shower, but she's not very creative.

I am in charge of making the invitations and sending them out, but I haven't found one that I really like yet. Do you have suggestions for designs I could copy so that I can make them myself? My friend's nursery theme is bumblebees, dragonflies, turtles, and frogs.

Also, what can I do for cute decorations for the shower (besides store-bought balloons, banners, etc?)

And do you have suggestions for fun games?

    Thanks a bunch. :)

  • How do you feel about "JUNIOR" names?

My husband is dead-set on having a son to carry on his namesake. He wants a Bobby Jr.! I think it sounds horrible (and kind of.... uh, redneck-ish) and I'd like to name our son something else.

I grew up in a house with 4 Mike's! My grandpa, my dad, my brother and my uncle. It makes things complicated, and I feel that everyone should have their own identity.

Do you have any "Junior's" in your family? What were your reasons for choosing your husband's name as your baby's?
