  • Which of these languages is easier to learn by yourself?

Hello, I'm generally good at learning languages. I already speak 4 European languages (Greek, English, Spanish, German) and I want to pick up a different language now. I was thinking one with a different writing system. Which one of these do you think is the easiest to learn without a teacher, using free online resources?

Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian or Arabic?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Can you help me with this math/logic problem?

Assume we can use digits 1-9, at most once each, in a sequence of numbers with a maximum length of 9. In each sequence we count how many "runs of 10" there are, i.e. how many sets of consecutive digits sum to 10. For example, the sequence 1234 has a count of 1, because there is one run (1+2+3+4) that sums to 10 and the sequence 3528 has a count of 2 (3+5+2 and 2+8 both sum to 10). The question is:What is the minimum length of a sequence that contains 4 runs? What is the minimum length of a sequence that contains 5 runs? Is it possible for a sequence to contain 6 runs?

My intuitive answers are 7 (6415237 contains 4 runs), 9 (648253791 contains 5 runs) and no, 6 runs is impossible. Are these correct? Can you help me find a simple explanation/proof? Thank you!

  • Can you help me solve the following quiz?

We call a natural number a "remarkable" one, if it is a composite (non-prime) number that is not divisible by 2, 3 or 5. For example, 49 is a remarkable number, since it is divisible by 7 (thus it's not prime) but not divisible by 2, 3 or 5.

The question is: how many remarkable numbers are there up to 10,000?

Note: There are 1,229 prime numbers up to 10,000.

Please explain your answer. Thanks in advance!

  • Is this phrase correct in English?

I am writing English lyrics for a song I composed, but I'm not a native speaker and I'm not sure if this phrase is correct:

Love brings obsession and obsession makes scared.

Is this use of "make" acceptable, without including an object in my sentence? If not, could you rephrase it in an acceptable way? Thank you!

  • Could somebody who knows how to use Photoshop do me a favor?

Hello everyone, my last name is Karamalegos (I'm from Greece) and my friends recently gave me the nickname "Karamalegolas", mixing my name with the name Legolas, a hero of "The Lord of The Rings". So I thought it would be a good idea to upload a profile photo on Facebook showing Legolas, but having some of my own facial characteristics. Unfortunately, I don't know how to use Photoshop or another photo editing software that would enable me to create such an image... If I'm not asking too much, could someone make this photo for me, please?

  • How can I move apps in android?

I want to be able to move apps to certain places, for example to put all games in the first sheet of the apps menu, music apps in the second one etc. But for the time being, my apps are listed in the order I downloaded them, and whenever I delete an app the others stay where they were, leaving a gap. Is there a way to change positions of the apps to solve these problems?

  • Do you know any good site with English grammar exercises?

I'm looking for a site that contains exercises on verb tenses (all of them: past, present and future, simple, continuous and perfect). It would also be great if these exercises were of many types: multiple choice, fill in the gap, crosswords etc. Thanks a lot! 10 points for the best answer! :)

A friend of mine wants to learn English vocabulary and I want to help him. So, I thought he could do it through songs, instead of studying and learning by heart lists with words. He's mainly into rock music. Do you know any good and famous rock songs that contain nice words in the lyrics?
