I'm not a fan of Obamacare because of legitimate concerns about how it handles healthcare

1) biggest problem is it does not adress the main issue of healthcare cost, it helps people get/pay for insurance but does little to lower to acually lower the cost of care itself i.e. use tax incentives, require posting of costs online so people can shop around etc

1a) to that extent it makes some things more expensive, such as taxing healthcare equipment to help pay for subsidies, why make the equipment used to save lives more expensive

2) one size fits all coverage - ALL plans must now cover prostate exams, birth control and mamagrams, why should a single woman pay for prostate exams? Why should a single male pay for mamagrams? Why should retired seniors pay for birth control?

3) sounds bad but women and men being charged the same - with car insurance men are more expensive to insure so they are rightly charged more, women are more expensive to insure than men so why is it wrong to charge them more here but ok to charge men more for car insurance?

4) I find it wrong to charge one group of people (the yong) more to pay for another (the old)

5) The plan is to chare young (<35) to pay more to make costs cheaper, but those <26 can stay on their parents plan and pay nothing? That cuts the group paying for it in half

6) Finally, no cuts were made for the spending, we make the same but are spending more, cut the military or welfare programs as this is a bigger welfare program

I want a rational discussion please, I am in the middle when it comes to social issues, not always right leaning, ie I oppose the death penalty but I also oppose abortion, but and support gay marriage. I would like to try and explain my pro-life choice and I would like to know if you agree or disagree. I will be civil and hope everyone else can too :)

Also, I am talking about abortion as in birth control or because the baby might be disabled, rape and if the mother is in danger I am OK with

I will explain my position by rationalizing it against pro-choice arguments

1) It is my body, my right - I do not refute this, it is your right to do to your body what you wish, same as freedom of speech, BUT a right is not upheld if it causes harm to another i.e. yelling fire in a theater is illegal even with freedom of speech. Abortion harms what I view as a life.

2) It is not alive - I don't understand this one, a sperm or egg is alive, by definition, so a fetus would be as well. But obviously a sperm is not human, it only has half the human genome, but once it combines with an egg you have life with unique human DNA. A single cell is alive, so obviously a fetus is alive

3) It is not human - again, by definition a fetus is human. It falls under the homo sapien category and has it's own unique DNA. It not developing into a human yet makes no sense either, I see a toddler as still developing, is it not human?

4) It is not sentient- how does being sentient define if it is ok to take a life? If I kill a coma patient am I not going to be arrested for killing someone?

5) It might be disabled - so being disabled makes you less than human? Being disabled mean you have less of a right to life than someone else?

Everyone can have their own opinion, so the in views above am I right? Am I wrong? please let me know and explain

P.S. Yes, religion can come into play as a reason, but I am trying to keep my reasons secular as not everyone is religous

None of the money that the government takes from me goes to the people who need it, it just gets spent carelessly. I give 10% of my income to charity straight away, and I know the money will actually go to where it needs to. With social security I know I will only get a fraction of what I am putting into it, why can't I just opt out of social security and put it into my own 401K? The government is horrible at handling money. Why force me to give money to help programs where the money for the help programs get spent on useless things like vacations for the politicians?

Anyone know if there is a way to watch the upcoming Game of Thrones series online without subscribing to HBO? I am willing to pay to watch them, but so far all I can find is to pay $40 more a month for a TV package that has HBO. Ideally I would like to pay per episode, rather than a monthly bill.

I bought a 160 gig slim to upgrade from my 80 gig phat. After having problems doing a data transfer from my phat, my slim seemed to be doing fine. I bought a Barnes and Noble Nook not too long ago and got a black neoprene sleeve for it. I usually bring it with me, in its sleeve, in my backpack, around campus for something to read while I wait for my next class. I week or so ago I got caught in the rain. My backpack got wet and so did the neoprene sleeve. My Nook is fine, but on the back are black/purple stains where I assume the dye from the neoprene sleeve seeped from becoming wet. It is not a big deal, but any idea how to remove them? All I've tried so far is a wet paper towel and I have not seen any improvement.

I keep trying to get this trophy and it won't give it to me. I complete the drawing. (I keep going until it is signed) When the family arrives I set the table and do not break any plates. Then I go outside spin one kid, then let the other ride on my shoulders. Finally I sword-fight with one of the kids and play through to the Father and Son chapter and still no trophy. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Any thing I should say/not say to the wife? Any thing I need to do/not do while I wait for the family to come home?

OK. I know the PSN is down and it won't let you go on the PSN or play games with trophies, BUT any games you try to play seem to delete any trophies you have for them. Anyone know if this is permanent or if the lost trophies will return when connection to the PSN returns?

P.S. I know this is only effecting the phat versions not the slims

All of my trophies are fine except my Heavy Rain trophies disappeared. Any one have this issue or know if I will get them back?

I need to write a 6 page paper that compares and contrasts before and after effects of one law. I am drawing a blank for a law. Any ideas?

I only have a PS2 and a Wii the motion controls do not sway me one way or the other. I would like to know if there are any differences in the games out side of controls such as levels, looks, forces powers and extras. I heard the Wii will have levels the other systems will not, but I would like to know if it is true. Thanks!

I am not speaking from a religious standpoint because I believe if evolution was real it would not disprove God because life would still have to start somewhere, life won't spontaniously start from nothing. Anyway, there has been no proof to make me believe in MACRO evolution, I know MICRO evolution is real because there is proof. No missing link has been found, only fakes such as Lucy and the man made from a pig's tooth. Darwin stated that white men were higher on the evolutionary chain than blacks, and that men were higher than women. I love science, but evolution seems to be taking over and still no proof has been found in all these years.

P.S. Please no God answers that are insulting, I stated my faith so that it remains in the neutral. I am looking for a scientific answer.

The following can be found outside of the bible from historical records that make me belive Jesus is God.

Jesus died and three days later the tomb was empty. Elite Roman Guards were executed for not keeping his body safe. The several ton boulder could only be moved uphill. More than 500 people say they saw Him, none of which were followers. The disciples were all killed for saying He was God and rose from the dead. Why would they die for something they made up? the had nothing to gain. His Resurrection has also never been disproved even though the Romans tried for many years.

Also thinking everything is random doesn't seem right. Life seems too great to be spontaneous. The complexity of the human body seems too exact to be random. Taking human anatomy class makes the body look planned. Everything is exactly placed.

I am guessing I am just going to get vague answers and jokes because there is no answer!

The big bang to Dinosaurs God can still exist. The big bang was from gases coming together and exploding creating everything, fine, but where did the gas come from. Also, Adam and Eve is a parable, not to be taken literally, so Dinosaurs can exist as well.

I have read Eragon/Eldest, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Obsidian Trilogy, The Axis Trilogy and The Shannara series. Does anyone Know any other good series like these.
