5 AnswersLanguages5 years agoIs my empty Slow Cooker a serious hazard?
I was using my slow cooker to humidify my house by filling it with water and heating it on high with the lid off. It was working fine but I had to refill the water every 24 hours. I left to spend the night elsewhere and forgot to unplug it. I realize it is probably bone dry and I won't be home until tomorrow. How dangerous is this?? Will my house burn down while I am gone???
5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHow can I get my new Netgear Wireless-N Router to work with my PC that has Windows Vista 64 bit OS?
I just bought this router which said on the outside of the box that it works with Windows Vista. However, when I loaded the installation CD it told me that it was incompatible. After checking the Customer Support website for Netgear, I learned that it only works with Vista 32-bit and my PC has Windows 64-bit.
Can someone tell me - in plain English - how I can get it to work? Do I need to buy an adapter and if so, which one? Or should I just return the router and get something else?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I used to be a Top Contributor in the Dream Interpretation section. I took a break from YA for a while, and when I came back my status was gone. Why?

When I moved to West Africa I was very surprised to learn that most of the missionaries here all live in fancy houses with maids and gardeners. I wonder if the parishioners who are supporting them realize that?
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCan I use FF Miles to purchase a ticket for a friend?
I know that most FF programs have a means by which you can transfer miles to the account of someone else for a fee. I am not interested in doing that, since it will cost nearly as much as the ticket.
What I want to know is - can I get an Award ticket in someone else's name?
3 AnswersAir Travel1 decade agoAffidavit for collection of personal property of decedent??
My dad died intestate last August. I live out of the U.S. and his girlfriend took care of things. I urged her to be named Administrator of the Estate by the Clerk of Court, but she just wanted to dispose of his assets and be done. She had keys to his apt. and cars, and access to his bank account.
I tried to file to be named as Administrator of the Estate, but I sent in the wrong forms, then had to redo them and mail everything back again. I talked to some lawyers, but since my dad didn't own much of value, it was going to cost way more to retain one than his "estate" was worth.
Anyway, I just got an "Affidavit for Collection of Personal Property of Decedent" in the mail from the Clerk of Court (with no letter of explanation - just the filled out form).
It shows that my dad's girlfriend filled out paperwork last Nov. to dispose of his vehicles. How could she have done this legally? She isn't listed as an heir, executor, or public administrator.
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics1 decade agoMS Access - Relationships - Help!?
I am trying to design a database for all of the employees at my place of work, to show what training they have had.
I want to be able to click on each employee's name and then go to another table showing a list of the courses they have completed, date taken, location, etc.
Do I need a separate table for each employee that is linked to the master list of employees? How do I set up this relationship?
I've tried going through the MS Access tutorial, but I am still confused.
Thanks for your replies!
2 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoWhy do I need a Surety Bond and how do I get one?
My dad passed away and I am trying to get myself appointed as the Administrator of his Estate. He owned nearly nothing. I just want to tie up loose ends and close out accounts.
I have filled out all of the forms required by the Clerk of Court for the city where he died in North Carolina except for one requiring a surety bond. I live in another state and not nearby.
He had no real estate and I am pretty sure that his girlfriend already disposed of anything else of value with her keys to his place.
So, why do I need a surety bond and how much should I get it for?
Thanks for your help.

2 AnswersPersonal Finance1 decade agoWhy is MS publisher eating my text??
Help!
I am editing a manual for work that is over 100 pages long. I imported it from MS Word to MS Publisher.
Things were going fairly well until I had to cut and paste to move some parts around.
Now it seems like the text I just pasted has disappeared. If I delete a line it moves up, but if I insert a line it doesn't go onto the next page.
Also, the document is jumping me from the page number I was working on to the page number where the text came from.
How can I get it to work with me?
Thanks in advance.

28 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat does this dream mean?
I had a dream last night and don't recall all of the details, but this last part made a big impression on me.
I was about to have brain surgery, but I wasn't in a hospital. I was in an office or a restaurant. I had to carry in two buckets of blood that would be needed for the operation, which I did. There were a lot of people about - and we we needed to clear an area for the procedure and shoo them away. I think I ended up sitting at a bar for the operation. I wasn't nervous or scared. Just observing what was happening.
