Which is the better PTAC/PTHP, Amana or Carrier?
I am replacing an old standard-sized GE Zoneline 5000 PTAC and have been quoted an Amana PTH-153B for $1425 or a Carrier 52MQ-U15---3 for $1325, including installation. Which unit will give less trouble? Is one quieter than the other? Are parts more readily available for one vs. the other?
