  • How to clean hard wood floors quickly?

I have a home built in 1952 and it has the original hard wood floors. The people before us ripped out the carpets and refinished the wood. It does have stains but it is in great condition considering it had carpet for over 20 years. Anyways, my question is what is the fastest way to keep my floors clean. Between being a mother of two, college student, working 40 hours a week, wife, cooking, cleaning....so on and so on....time is short. I have tried buying this little mop vacuum thing but it got clogged within a year and now doesn't work. My vacuum blows the dust around. A swiffer doesn't pick up the big pieces and a broom doesn't pick up the small pieces. A mop doesn't pick up the big pieces either. Is there anything out there that anyone uses that they would recommend on hard wood floors to keep the big stuff picked up (to keep away from my 11 month old baby), the dusty stuff picked up )since my daughter crawls and her knees and hands get dirty), and isn't so time consuming that I couldn't do it on a daily basis?

  • Husbands sex drive?

Okay, this is a really weird question. I am currently 16 weeks pregnant with my husband and my second child. My sex drive went really low in the begining due to monring sickness and my husband was all over me. We averaged about 2 times per week (if i felt to bad it was only 1) but now i've got my drive back and he's lost his. Not completley.....he gets turned on but by the time my son is in bed and we're ready to lay in bed he's to tired and half asleep. He has gained a little weight and HATES working days but there just aren't any night jobs out there. I questioned him and tried to get him talking and finally he said that it has nothing to do with me swelling belly (he NEVER had an issue the first pregnancy and no, i'm not large. I am 5'6" and 115 currently but normally about 110) but after going with less sex and getting so exhuasted at work he just finds himself less than interested unless i put forth 100% or the effort to get somthing going. Have any of your guys delt with this?

  • Why would doctor act like he thought i'd have a miscarriage?

I had my last period on January 25, 2008 but when i went for my first appointment (I thought I was 8weeks) I was told the baby was more like 6weeks. When I went back the doctor asked (first thing out of his mouth) "have you had spotting or cramping yet?" Then he did another ultrasound because the first one showed 2 weeks off from my LMP. He said it was consistent with being 2 weeks off from my LMP even though the ultrasound said 8weeks 4days and by his FIRST estimate I was 10weeks 1 day. Now I'm 14 weeks by his FIRST estimate (and that's even what they have on my chart) and we listened to the heartbeat but the first words out of his mouth were "did you have cramping or bleeding, yet?" As he walked out he said "well, everything looks good" and he said it with surprise. He was there for my last pregnancy and NEVER said anything like this. My question is, why would he say this and might it be a reason to worry? Has anyone else experienced this?

  • 13 Weeks pregnant and worried about energy drink?

I know now that it is unsafe to drink energy drinks while you're pregnant but i did not realize this until about 30 minutes ago (about a month and half after drinking one and an hour after drinking my second during this pregnancy). I have been staying away from caffeine this whole pregnancy, not because i thought it was bad but because i had an aversion to almost ALL of the drinks with it. I'm now 13 weeks pregnant and I'm really concerned i may have done harm to my baby. Could I have done any permanent damage or might it be possible that because i hardly consume caffeine and it was only 2 times the whole pregnancy the baby will be okay?
