  • Can a check be made out to 2 different names?

A check is supposed to be coming to my nephew for his totaled car. His ex girlfriends name was also on the title which got submitted to the company because they came to get the car. They are supposed to be mailing a check now. He has been the one corresponding with the company and his name was listed first on the title and everything and he was the one involved in the accident.

Is it possible for the insurance company to write and send the check in BOTH their names? (They have different last names.)

Someone once told me that checks can't be made out to people with 2 different names.

  • Do you need a concealed weapons permit to keep a gun at your own business?

Hello, I am wondering if you need a concealed weapon permit to keep a gun at your own business. Let's say you are self employed and own a car dealership.

    The state is Florida.

Also, if you CAN keep a gun without a permit, what are the requirements for its storage?

    Thank you in advance!

  • Statistics math question. Please help!?

I need help with a statistics question.

The addition rule states: If A and B are disjoint events, then the probability of A or B is P(A or B) = P(A) + P(B).

The problem is: Funding for many school comes from taxes based on assessed values of local properties. People's homes are assessed higher if they have extra features such as garages and swimming pools. Assessment records in a certain school district indicate that 37% of properties have garages and 3% have swimming pools. The addition rule might suggest, then, that 40% of residents have a garage or a pool. What's wrong with that reasoning?
