Okay, so two of my friends--one is agnostic and one is atheist, where having a discussion. My agnostic friend was like atheist "believe" in something because they believe that evolution is true. And that And agnostics believe in nothing, they really don't believe any theory is necesarily true concerning the creation of the world. I only sort of understood where she was coming from. So can someone clarify the difference between agnostics and atheists?

Denying the theory of Evolution and the Big Bang because you believe in God. Or denying the existence of God because you accept the theory of Evolution and the Big bang. Religion is said to have many gaps likewise with the theories of Evolution and the Big Bang. So some are not sure if their beliefs are right are not. Anyways, I was talking with a friend about why some atheists think believing in a god is being close-minded and why some religious people think not believing in God is being close minded. In her opinion believing in God is being open-minded because of the fact that you believe that there is more to this world than just what you physically see. Other's disagree. I just want to hear people's opinions.
