  • 2001 jeep grand cherokee. Is my fuel regulator bad? Or should I purchase a new filter first?

I have a 2001 jeep grand cherokee, with a 4.0 powertech I6. The engine will sometimes die while at an idle. Or, it won't start if you don't get it started on the first try. If I wait for about 30 minutes, then it will start. I bought a fuel pressure gauge and checked the pressure. With the key turned on pressure comes up to 45 lbs and then bleeds down very slowly. I waited for about 5 min. And, it bled down to 39 lbs. When i started it the pressure came up to 44 lbs. But, the needle was jumping like crazy from 44-41 lbs. Do I have a bad regulator? Or should I change the fuel filter first?

  • Does god"s hand guide everyone?

Let's say a really prominent brain surgeon uses his knowledge and skills to save others lives. And, this brain surgeon is a self proclaimed satanist, who acknowledges satan as the bearer of his fruits. Who then should you thank, if he saves your life?

  • little white bugs have invaded my house.?

Lately we have seen little white bugs appearing on surfaces. We first noticed them on the bathroom counter. Now they have spread through the house. They are so small they just look like a white dot crawling across the counter. What could they be and how do we kill them.

  • How do some churches explain their hypocrisy?

Ever notice how some churches adorn themselves with worldly possessions. Temples, and synagogues decorated in gold. Evangelists preaching on the TV, wearing Armani suits with gold rings on their fingers. Look at the amount of wealth some of these churches have amassed. And some christians believe heaven will be paved with gold, and have beautiful palaces. Does this image really sound like the heaven of your god, who preached against materialists?

  • Children say the darnedest things?

Yesterday I was doing some research, using the online bible. I was reading from Genesis Chapter 1. My nine year old son came into the room and read verse 1. "In the beginning god created the heaven and the earth". Then he began to laugh. I asked him what was funny. He said "in the beginning god created heaven. If god created heaven, then where was god before he created it?" Being an atheist and not believing in such things. I find myself lacking an answer. I know the verse is pertaining to the sun, moon and stars. But, I'm curious about your ideas on the beginning of god. So, how about it Theists. Where was god before he created the heavens?

  • How many Atheists are happy?

I just answered a question were a supposed atheist said he was miserable since he became an atheist. How many of you true atheists, feel it was a mistake, or regret becoming atheist? For me, becoming atheist was one of the most liberating experiences. While growing up I was never convinced of gods existence. Being born to a mormon family, this put a lot of religious burden on me. I started studying other religions. And found no truth in any religion. They all echoed each other. And none of them had any facts to back it up. I then came to the conclusion that the concept of god and religion was conceived by man. It was like a light coming on. Since then I have been consumed with learning everything I can about life and the laws of nature. It gives me a lot more joy than religion ever did. How many of you are Truly happy?

And please no hateful comments from theists, i'm not trying to trash your beliefs. It's just not right for me.

  • Was christ just a religious upstart?

I don't refute the evidence that there existed a man named jesus of Nazareth. I do refute the evidence that he was a demi god. I would argue that the bible is nothing more than a story book with some factual names and places thrown in to make people believe. Many other religions and myths do the same. Jesus was just a man an ancient joseph smith who was tired of judaism and its practices and decided to start his own religion. None of his supposed miracles were actually witnessed by the authors of the bible. In fact none of the authors were even alive during his lifetime. The Bible is merely hearsay. The idea of his resurrection was merely constructed by jesus to ensure his followers stayed faithful. As if to say "This is your reward for following me". The only witnesses to his supposed Resurrection were his disciples and mary magdalene. Who we know were brainwashed followers. Jesus even took his main disciples (peter, james, john) aside before his Crucifixion to conspire his final miracle. And told them to never disclose the matter of their conversation. Matt. 17.

I know this sounds like a rant on christianity. And, I admit it kind of is. But I think the same brainwashing of congregations that happens in christianity, happens in all religions. To me it seems a lot of religious people stop asking questions as soon as they find god.

Why do you blindly follow what you are taught?

  • Creationists, why is it so hard to believe...?

Why is it so hard to believe in evolution? Are we that different from apes? Does is make you wonder? When you see chimps and gorillas learning sign language and communicating basic needs effectively. Apes are not void of emotions. Given time, does it not seem plausible that over 5 million years, chimps could develop more complex functions? Or is it just easier to believe that a supernatural being created apes and men with slight differences? Is this a ploy by your "god" to divide mankind on theories of the origin of life? Answer any of these questions or all of them.

  • Christians, I need to be enlightened.?

Do christians believe of all the galaxies and solar systems out there, our planet is the only one with life on it? Or, do christians believe in other worlds with intelligent life? If the later is true, would it be safe to say that christians believe in aliens?

  • Theories on time travel and perpetual motion?

I know it's not possible to travel back in time. But, could you theoretically travel to the future? I read some where that time would slow down for someone traveling close to the speed of light. If this theory is correct. Could you construct some sort of perpetual motion machine, to achieve these speeds? I'm thinking, maybe magnetic and in space, to reduce friction and air resistance.

  • I need proof the bible is a historical text, not just a story.?

Can anyone tell me where any historical texts back up the stotries from the bible? Is jesus mentioned in any other historical texts? And why are none of the factual characters of history mentioned in the bible? For example Alexander "the great". He was busy conquering most of the middle east and asia during biblical times. Don't you think he would have been a pretty significant man to mention in the bible? The whole bible seems like a storybook to me. No more significant than the stories in the native american or Roman cultures, passed down from generation to generation. Or, is there some truth to those myths as well?

  • why do christians celebrate christmas?

If christians believe christmas is a religous holiday, why did they adopt a lot of the pagan rituals to go along with it? Christmas trees were derived from the yule log. The idea of santa and presents came from the danes. christians just churched it up, to make it a celebration of christ's birth. When we all know jesus of nazerene, was not born in the winter but spring.

  • Is religion a manmade concept, or divine revelation?

Is religion a an idea conceived by man, to keep the peace and order? Or did some god reveal himself to an ancient prophet, so that we as mortal people, might return to his presence?

  • If jesus died for our sins, why should we try to be good?

Christians believe that salvation is through jesus christ. That he died for our sins. If this is the case, why don't we just do whatever we want? As long as you believe in Jesus, you are saved.

  • Why do christians believe they are the only true religion?

Why is it that, whenever you ask a christian why they are right, they use the bible to defend their religion? Why should the bible be the only true religous text out there? Christians discredit every other text. What about the pyramid texts, the book of the dead, The quran, The tora, The mahayana sutras, or the tripitka koreana? Do none of these ancient religous texts hold any truth? Hinduism is one of the oldest religions, older than christianity. Why should we not follow the teachings in the sruti? Shouldn't we put more trust in the oldest of these writings?
