  • Kitten food v adult food!?

I have both an adult cat and a 12wk old kitten...feeding times have become a nightmare..as trying to feed kitten food, and adult food is hard as they are constantly changing bowls!!

I was brought up with cats...and when I was young...which was a long time ago...there was no such food as kitten food..they all ate the same...and many of them lived until they were 20 with no ill affects!

So my question is....is it ok for my kitten to be eating adult food? I realise I have almost answered my own question...I'm just wondering what other people think?

  • Kidney failure in cats?

I had a 14yr old cat who was fine in most aspects..however I had started to notice that she was drinking water more, and urinating more than normal...then her stomach looked a bit distended...she was a housecat, and I had got her from a farm from a feral mother..so she had had no human contact from 8 wks....and had only lived with me...and would attack anyone who tried to touch her. She was still eating fine and was only sick maybe once a month like any normal cat. I took her to the vet which was an extremely stressful situation for her ( and me )...she was examined which involved holding her down as she was freaking out....was told to bring her in next day for bloods and scans....dropped her off..picked her up later that day and was told she had a cyst on her kidneys that they had drained...and had to fone back for bloods.....after all her stress she wouldnt poo, stopped eating completely..although before I had took her to vet she was eating fine...and would stand by her bowls u until I fed her. Was told to take her in yet again to check why she wasnt pooing....vet said stress...then foned for bloods....severe kidney failure...she had to be put to sleep 2 days later.....My cat died 9 days after I 1st took her to the vets....she had never been to a vets before...and I'm just wondering if stress could have played a part in her passing?

  • Why is America still allowing animals to be mutilated?

In the UK we have banned declawing cats as its deemed inhumane, also the docking of dogs tails and their ears. If any of these procedures were carried out in Britain you would be prosecuted for cruelty to animals.

  • help with panic attacks?

does anyone know of anyway to deal with it without taking antidepressants, this seems to be the only solution my doctor has came up with, whilst this did help, the side affects made me put on quite a lot of weight, which didnt really help how i felt about myself.

  • Looking for riding hats?

I do voluntary work for the riding for the disabled in Dundee Scotland, and we desperately need some new riding hats, we are currently using jockey skull caps but they are really hard to fit to every individual, we really need the new polly hats (similiar to cycle helmets) that adjust to each fit, does anyone know where we could buy cheap ones? or even better if anyone could donate some that would be great. please let me know, thanks
