A business rents space in a city building and discriminates against a person with a disability, is the city also in violation of ADA?
I know the private business is in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act because they didn't allow someone to participate in their public program specifically because of the person's disability.
But is the city also in violation since the discrimination took place in a city facility?
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics7 years agoWhy is "Accept and Create" not working when I try to start a new group?
I'm trying to start a new group. I get through the first screen, "Create A Group," but on the second screen, the "Accept and Create" button is grayed out/light purple and clicking on it doesn't do anything. I've tried several times throughout the day on a laptop and on an iPad.
1 AnswerYahoo Groups7 years agoWill the thorn in my foot stop hurting? Skin has grown over.?
I stepped on a thorn while barefoot a couple weeks ago. It was too deep to get out, so I left it. Now skin has grown over it, making a small lump. It still hurts, though not as bad as at first. Will it stop hurting eventually and just stay there, or am I going to need to dig it out?
I figure if it was going to get infected, that would have happened by now.
3 AnswersInjuries9 years agoIs there a bone marrow registry that will take a donor with a high BMI?
The National Marrow Donor Program won't accept potential donors with a body mass index above 40, although medical sources say BMI is not a good indicator of potential health or donation complications. Is there a registry that will take obese donors?
1 AnswerCancer9 years agoHow can I administer pain reliever to my special needs child?
He has a broken leg. The doctor recommended Motrin. Because he is mentally challenged and has swallowing/eating difficulties, he can't swallow a pill and spits out liquid or infant drops. I've tried mixing liquid Motrin into his sippy cup, but he seems to know the taste is there and takes a few hours to get it all in, thus prolonging the pain. I saw a suppository, but he is chronically constipated (due to the feeding issues), so getting it in is extremely challenging.
If I ask the doctor, is there a pain reliever I can give him with a shot? Other ideas?

Asher Robert?
We are at a standstill and need to decide soon. All ideas welcome!

10 AnswersGrade-Schooler1 decade agoWhat Christmas carols do kids have the most fun singing?
I'm making up song sheets for our 4-H club to go caroling. The kids are ages 8-18. Which songs should I include that they'll really have fun with?
5 AnswersChristmas1 decade agoEyedrops for swimmer sensitive to chlorine?
My daughter seems especially sensitive to chlorine in pool water, yet has a hard time keeping goggles in place at her young age. Are there certain eyedrops that would help her to use before and/or after swimming? Any other suggestions?
Her eyes redden and burn badly.
1 AnswerSwimming & Diving1 decade agoCheaper alternative to Clinique Dramatically Different Cream for Upset Skin?
I like the cream rather than the lotion. I'm looking for something less expensive but still non-greasy feeling and effective for extremely dry skin on my face. Some products make my face itchy or red.
4 AnswersMakeup1 decade agoCan I undo a reset on my Nintendo Wii Fit? My 3-year-old accidentally reset it and lost our tests/scores!?
Our Mii characters still show up on the Wii, but nothing under Wii Fit. It's acting as if it's the first time we have ever played the Wii Fit.

3 AnswersAgriculture1 decade agoWhat is English tin made of?
Our family produces maple syrup in our sugarbush. The boiling pan is made of English tin. What metals make up English tin?
We're considering being certified as organic syrup producers, and that requires a stainless steel boiling pan. I'm wondering what in English tin makes it less acceptable than stainless steel. Maybe a possible lead contamination issue?
1 AnswerChemistry1 decade agoIs there a simple type of knitting my 3.5-year-old can try?
I'm a new knitter myself and am also teaching my older child. What can my almost-4-year-old do with yarn while we knit?
I've seen tools with pegs and knitting spools, but never used them. Could a young child do them?
Her fine motor skills are good for her age and attention span is a little longer than average.
6 AnswersHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoI made grape juice, but the sugar is in a layer in the bottom of the jars. Will it dissolve?
I used the easy, whole-grape method where you drop in the grapes, then sugar, then boiling water and process.
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoCan I take the back off my Cosco Protek booster seat to make it backless?
The back unscrews easily, but I'm not sure if it's meant to be used this way. I know some seats are meant so you can remove the back for an older child.
I can't find the instructions online anywhere because the seat is a couple years old.

15 AnswersGrade-Schooler1 decade agoHow can I help my 7-year-old remember to flush the toilet?
She's a good kid and isn't failing to flush on purpose or anything, so it's not really a behavior issue. She's just my slightly more absent-minded child. She's active and always has her mind on the next thing.
I even made up a chant, "Close the potty, Flush, and Wash your Hands" that I say to her sometimes to help her remember the steps, but I'm not always nearby when she's going to use it so she forgets.
Help!

1 AnswerBooks & Authors1 decade agoA youth group has an annual contest and picks a King and Queen. What's a different title than King/Queen?
I'm looking for a title to call the top two students that's more relevant today, and not cutesy. These youth exhibit excellent leadership skills and I'd like a better name for the top two students than King and Queen.
One idea: Club Ambassadors.
All ideas welcome!
