I worked for this company for the last two years. I worked hard and was a valuable employee. My boss is upset about me leaving and will not write a letter of recommendation for me. Is it really a personal choice whether or not to write a letter of recommendation for someone who deserves it?

I just set up a 150 gallon aquarium in my living room. After setting it up it hit me that the landlord might have a problem with such a large aquarium. I had the floor checked out and there are no structural integrity problems. I'm afraid to ask my landlord now because there's no way I can reasonably take down the tank. How commonly are large aquariums not allowed in rental properties?

they do allow pets and the state is Michigan if that helps.

every 2 weeks i pay my credit card off in full but it takes at least a week for the available credit to recalculate. it's only a $500 card so I am often riding close to the credit cap just because the available credit updates so much later than when i pay my bill. is this normal?

4 days ago my car insurance payment was due via electronic payment from my checking account. the car insurance company shows that they received the funds but the money has not been pulled out nor is it pending. is it possible they made a mistake somewhere and I will get to keep the money?

I made a purchase with a prepaid debit card last week and a half hour later i returned it and the transaction was canceled. it's been 10 days now and i still havn't received the funds back. I've called the store several times and they keep saying they will get in contact with the credit card company but i don't even think did it. I went to the bank that the card is issued through and they aren't able to give me any information. i called the number on the card and they say i have no pending deposits.

so, i'm wondering is there any reason that a purchase couldn't be refunded on a prepaid debit card? would it ever take more than 10 days to process? i don't think the store would deliberately try to rip me off but is it possible they made a mistake?

i'm looking for the cheapest solution to put a serious edge on a knife. I have a 2 stage sharpener but that doesn't seem to get it any sharper than running it along a steel.

I've been awake for 45 hours now, i can't seem to fall asleep. I haven't had any drastic changes, no alcohol or drugs have been in my system besides a couple of cigarettes. last time i had caffeine was about 8 hours but i drank a lot during the day to get through work.

every time i get on facebook i end up spending an hour looking at pictures of all my old friends. i see them having fun and they all intermingle with each other still. i havn't really seen any of these people in 4 years, i've tried to get in touch with a few people but everything seems fruitless.

is it weird to spam all my old friends with messages if i havn't talked to them in years? should i try to forget about them? i have plenty of different friends and for the most part i'm happy, but it gets me down to see everyone keeping in touch and i'm never thought of.

The interviewer said he is interviewing people for the next week and will not be able to get back to me until after that. I thought the interview went EXTREMELY well but I'm worried the interviewers will forget me when hiring time rolls around. is this likely to hurt my chances?
