  • How long does it usually take to straighten thick hair?

My aunt has told me that she has gotten me a CHI 2" Flatiron for Christmas, and I'm very excited. However, I had some questions. My main one is; how long does it typically take to straighten relatively thick, curly hair? My hair is technically "wavy", because it grows relatively straight out of my scalp, and has a lot of curls, but not super tight or anything.

ALso, my friend said it's best to straighten your hair at night and touch it up in the morning. Does this work?

    THANK YOU!

  • What other phones can I get on the Verizon prepaid plan?

I want to get a Verizon prepaid plan. However, I don't like the phones they give as options for prepaid plans on their website. Can I get any other phones on the plan?

  • Highschool Worries...?

I'm going into high school in the fall, and I'm worried. I don't know what I want from people anymore, or even myself! I'm especially worried that I'm not making the right desicions, and that I will miss important opportunities and ultimately screw everything up. I'm even worried that, with 2 honors classes, I'm taking too much on. What can I do to ease my worries and ultimately come out on top?

  • How do I bring out the real bold, confident me?

Inside, I've always felt like a confident, bold, outgoing, and never shy or awkward type of person. The type of person who lights up a room and feels good about themselves. The way I act, however, doesn't reflect that. Especially around adults, I get super-shy! I'm also always very self consious, worried about my looks, hair, smile, attitude, etc. I want my real personality and the real me to show, especially as I'm going into highschool this year; I want to be confident. I see this new school as an opportunity to change and be the real me. How do I bring the real me out?!

  • I feel lost, can you help?

Lately, I've felt really, really lonely. I don't know why, exactly; I've been talking to my friends just as often. Maybe it's because school's out, so I don't and can't see them as often. I dunno.

But, really, I just want the happiness I had before. I don't even feel like getting up in the morning! Does anyone have any suggestions..?

  • Quick;; Which Virgin Mobile Phone?!?!?

I'm going to bestbuy in a little bit to get myself a Virgin Mobile cell phone. My question is, should I get the Slash or the Wildcard? I text a lot, so I'm definitely leaning toward the wildcard, in which case if you agree, should I get the limited edition one (white with a stereo speaker design inside) or the black one? Which one looks better? Please hurry! Thanx!

  • Virgin Mobile or Verizon?

I've been considering both services, and because of better pricing, I'm leaning towards Virgin Mobile. They get really good service in our area. However, I would want the Kyocera Wildcard. If I was to buy that phone, I would get a monthly plan. If I do buy the phone, and decide I don't like it any want to try Verizon, can I return it and get my money back, and how long do I have to do that? Is there anything else I should knoww?

P.S; Don't tell me about how Virgin Mobile sucks, please. I just want to know facts.

  • Teen texting cheap cell plan.?

I'm a teen and I'm looking to pay for my own cell phone. I have $40/month that I'm willing to spend on it. In general, minutes don't matter to me, just that I have unlimited texting, a nice phone, and that there's not a ton of extra fees or complicated things to work out in paying. It also, as you probably have realized, must be a cheap plan. Can someone help?

  • How to get curly hair cut thinner?

A long time ago, I got my hair cut and "thinned". Unfourtunately, the person ruined my hair in the back, and made it really, really bad! I have curly hair, and this thinning turned out terrible. I've grown my hair out a bit, and now it's calmer. I've cut my hair myself a few times, so I like the length (even though its uneven...), but I can't thin it out. I'm worried to have my newer hairdresser (who also has curly hair) thin it, because even though I know she'll be better, it was still a bad experience last time. I don't want my hair all short and bushy again! It's currently a little past my shoulders, and it's thick, curly, and a little bushy. What can I do to get a hair cut that slims and sleeks my hair down? x

  • How to get a curly scene cut?

I love the look of "scene" hair, I think it's really cute. I'd love to get my hair cut somewhat like that, but my hair is curly! It's a little past my shoulders and very thick. I think maybe a "scene" cut would help thin it out a bit and make it easier to manage, too. I'm also not willing to straighten my hair everyday, or make it really poofy. How can I get a cute, "scene"-ish look that'll make my hair easy to manage and work with my curls?

P.S; I'm only using "scene" as a way to describe what I'm thinking of. Please, don't call me a poser or any of that.

  • How should a teenage girl go about scheduling?

I'm a teenage girl, and I often forget things. I also tend to procrastinate and not know what I have planned. How do I get into a daily routine, and how do I use a planner or calendar to record things, so I can follow my schedule? Also, is a computer or paper planner the best?

  • Calling all curly's- does anyone have a routine they can share?

I have thick, curly, Irish hair down to about an inch down on my rib cage. It gets really frizzy and bushy; it looks great when i first do it, or when its wet, then it looks horrible within the hour! Does anyone have a routine they follow they can tell me, who has curly hair? Thanks. :]

  • How do I perfect my curls?

I have thick, curly irish hair, kind of like this picture (but a few inches longer) http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll47/kteenlookb...

    And I've seen girls with the most perfect waves, like this;

    http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk95/verenise_2...

I straighten my bangs every morning, but that's all I have time to do. I want my hair under control without permanently relaxing it. Should I take a shower in the morn or at night? Gel? Mousse? Creme? Spray? Please, HELP.

It frizzes a lot, even when I use gel or mousse or cream. I like that sculpted curl, almost scrunched gelled look. But when I try it, it doesn't work! What do I do?

  • How do I work with my curly hair?

I have really thick, dark brown irish curls. Something like this....

    http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll47/kteenlookb...

But a few inches long, just about at my ribcage.

Anyway, it's really getting on my nerves. It looks great when the day starts or when it's wet, then it gets all poofy! I'm not willing to straighten my hair everyday, or chemically relax it. Is there anything I can do to keep my hair calm and wavy? Also, does anyone know any good hairstyles for curly hair in the summer?
