Whether you like coffee or know someone who does. You should give this a try. Instead of getting Mcdonald's iced coffee, this recipe will keep you from going through that drive-thru and plunking down big change for something so cheap.(you know who you are)

I think I've got this recipe down.

With a full carafe of coffee (12 serving size pot)

when it cools

add 2/3 cup sugar or to your own taste

1 can of evaporated milk

mix well and place in small pitcher in your fridge and it will keep for 3 or 4 days.

This makes 3 large glasses with ice.

1 coffee filter 1 cent

12 Tbsp. coffee 25 cents (approximately)

1 can evaporated milk 75 cents

2/3 cup sugar 20 cents (approximately)

(As a side note, I should mention that I shop at Aldi and Save-A-Lot, so my prices may be better than yours.)

At $1.25 per carafe, that makes it about 40 cents per glass. What a savings, and everyone here loves it. You can even add Cool Whip and a little chocolate syrup if your feelin' fancy.

If you make a carafe of De-Caff you can have a low-fat after dinner treat.

I'm looking to buy a new mixer. I've been using my Mother's standard 4 qt. Kitchenaid mixer for about 5 yrs, it's 25 years old and still going strong, but I need a bigger mixing bowl.

As I was doing my pricing research on the Kitchenaid 6 qt. bowl lift model, I found that Cuisinart has a 7 qt. bowl, which excited me. Does anyone own one and are they worth the money.
