  • Why are so many Americans anti-American?

The US Constitution was written so that power was from the people to the Government. Throughout my life and before it has slowly evolved to power from the Government to the people. Why have we aloud what made America the greatest country in the history of the world, self-determination and individual rights, be destroyed and turned into a country of entitlement? Do those who agree with Bush and Obama realize they are the ones who have put the final nails into the coffin of freedom?

The very essence of what made us America has been destroyed!

  • The book that came true – Atlas Shrugged…?

Through her own philosophy of Objectivism Ayn Rand with nothing more than REASON outlined how the USA would be if things did not change. Now that Atlas Shrugged seems prophetic will we now turn from the philosophy of Altruism and start making economic and political policy based our own rational self interest? Wouldn’t it be logical that Objectivism can provide the solution?

  • Will people ever realize that Ayn Rand was right about Objectivism?

Look throughout history and the demand for sacrifice; taking by force what is made by one and given to another. This philosophy was the root cause of two world wars, the rise of communism, and the current decline of the Untied States of America. Should we not be responsible for ourselves? Please, give to charity if you wish; but why are we okay with being forced to give what is ours to another? Perhaps you never thought of it as force but the tax you pay is done under the threat of imprisonment.

    __

"The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it's yours. But to win it requires total dedication and a total break with the world of your past, with the doctrine that man is sacrificial animal who exists for the pleasure of others. Fight for the value of your person. Fight for the virtue of your pride. Fight for the essence, which is man, for his sovereign rational mind..............." • Why is selfishness misunderstood and condemned when...?

"The meaning ascribed in popular usage to the word “selfishness” is not merely wrong: it represents a devastating intellectual “package-deal,” which is responsible, more than any other single factor, for the arrested moral development of mankind."

In popular usage, the word “selfishness” is a synonym of evil; the image it conjures is of a murderous brute who tramples over piles of corpses to achieve his own ends, who cares for no living being and pursues nothing but the gratification of the mindless whims of any immediate moment.

Yet the exact meaning and dictionary definition of the word “selfishness” is: concern with one’s own interests.

This concept does not include a moral evaluation; it does not tell us whether concern with one’s own interests is good or evil; nor does it tell us what constitutes man’s actual interests. It is the task of ethics to answer such questions.
