Airplane part fell on my house and broke skylight window!?
Our house is two stories tall so it couldn't have been thrown up there, the force wouldn't have been enough to shatter our window. We called the police and they also seemed to think it was from an aircraft. Can anyone identify the part in question? It has the number '346' clearly visible on the side. I have attached images of it.

Niece asked me if I knew if this was from an anime or anything. Being a total otaku I am ashamed to admit I didn't recognize it. Anyone know where this is from?

1 AnswerOther - Games & Recreation9 years agoCalculus arclength question... sqrt(2-x^2) from 0 to 1...?
Use the arc length formula to find the length of the curve y = sqrt(2 − x^2), 0 ≤ x ≤ 1.
Check your answer by noting that the curve is part of a circle.
So I know that the arclength formula is S= integral from x=a to x=b of sqrt(1+f'(x))dx where f(x) is the function whose segment we wish to find the length of and f('x) is its derivative.
Then:
y=sqrt(2 − x^2) = (2 − x^2)^(1/2)
y'=(1/2)(2 − x^2)^(-1/2)*(-2x) = -x(2 − x^2)^(-1/2)
So I end up with:
S=integral from 0 to 1 of sqrt(1+(x^2/(2-x^2))
but I'm not sure how to integrate it.
