Hello everyone, i have a question, i received a ticket for HOV violation in September of 2017 and was wondering if i could take traffic school. The last ticket i received was in Jauary 7th of 2016, but i completed traffic school for that one in March 2017. A little about that one [Jan 2016], the court date was set for june, i requested an extension for school reasons, it got settled in i think Oct. i was originally meant to take traffic school, but i got laid off and was unable to afford the fees, i got a new job again late october, and had to pay back alot of money to stay in my home. I sent a letter to the Judge requesting if i can retake the course, and explained my situation, fortunately he green lit in February of 2017, and i was able to complete it in early march. Can i take traffic school for this new ticket?

I got pulled over for tinted windows, i questioned why since i bought the car like this from the dealer, officer got irked and also gave me an HOV lane violation ticket. i asked why, he said he saw me in the HOV lane for an 8th of a mile. I advised that i went through the broken white lines to go around slow moving vehicle in front of me, and merged back in safely. He said HOV lane is HOV lane, i could see he was not going to be helpful, [this was in riverside, CA] , i asked to have a court seat in the state capital, and he denied it, and seemed more upset as he had his hand on his holster... long story short i just had traffic school in march to not pay for increase in insurance, how long can i push this one so that i may take traffic school again. *please note i had no issue with the officer, and upon reviewing it was my ignorance, as San Bernardino and Riverside recently passed bills switching HOV lanes from solid lines to broken white lines for miles. I am originally from Los angeles.

Hey all, recently my fish tank has gotten cloudy and it has lead to a huge death count (i believe) in my fish, so far 3 have been confirmed deaths, and 2 are MIA. only 3 fish remain (small fish, 40 gallon tank). We have partially changed the water multiple times already, and have changed all the filters as well, and nothing seems to stop it. Is there something we can buy to clear it out and help the fish out, we are having problems finding the bodies of the remaining 2 fish due the cloudiness. Also seeing the fish rise to the surface alot in small tight groups. (as for having 8-glofish-, it wasnt me, i wanted 4 but my mom went to petsmart and saw a deal and bought more thinking they would look good in my tank).

so i am moving out in a few weeks [apartment], unfortunately our previous roommates have destroyed the carpet, and so has my cat. they want to charge us $750 to replace the carpet, i have tried to look for the carpet we have but cannot find it anywhere , so i was wondering is it cheaper for me to hire a professional to clean and repair the carpet, or will they just replace it anyways and i just wasted money? we have lived here for 2 years, and the original roommates left after year 1 with no deposit or any money for overall costs to repair anything.

As my girlfriend and i were watching the game, the winner was announced before the game ended. It was during overtime, and a little bar popped up saying "Patriots win superbowl with touchdown", it was probably the 3rd play during overtime, and it appeared for 3 or 5 seconds. Maybe they were just that confident that they were going to win? I thought it was going to be a little fact tidbit, but found the announcement to be odd, as if the game was supposed to have ended already and it was announcing the victor, but the game hadnt ended and it could have potentially gone the other way very easily. I just want to know if anyone else saw that or was it just me and my gf? Please note i am a pats fan, but even i found this odd.

So my GF has always had a big tight family, I ve been the opposite small family, and more independent. I can go months without seeing or talking to my parents, she sees her whole family every weekend. It gets a bit tedious for me, since she always wants to be the first one there and the last to leave. I don t have a problem with her family, but the truth is we have little to nothing in common. I don t have kids nor like them, I m not too into sports (besides small talk), and all my funny stories are inappropriate (involving drugs and alcohol) which are not a part of my life anymore, they enjoy drinking and would want me to join too, but I can t I have liver damage and I would rather they not know, I am 23 with liver damage. It looks bad. So I would at most be comfortable being at her home for 4 hours, she wants 12 and considers it rude not to show up on time. I want to be a part of her family but I dont like interacting with large groups of people for a long time. I m reserved, I like playing on my phone, and I don t like to fake interest in something I have no connection to, that includes children. This hurts her, as she thinks I m not trying to connect to her family, I m essentially just there, bored, but that s just the way I am with everyone. I need advice what can I do to better this for her and me? She doesn t want to spend less time, but spending so much time is taxing on me, and not showing up is rude, and showing up and being reclusive is also rude.

So, i got an interview for mortgage processor (SAFE)3. I believe i am more than capable of doing the job, as i have been a supervisor and currently I am a substitute teacher. I was wondering what, if anything do i need to know for this position? and what can i answer when they ask do you have any closing experience, or mortgage experience (which unfortunately i do not). but i am able to quickly pick things up and put in effort to learn things as quickly as possible.

Alight so, recently i was offered a hugh stress low pay job with the county, I was waiting for a better paying job from a bank, so I told them to give me till Friday by 12 to give them my answer. Well I held out for the bank position all day friday, and Monday I confirmed I did not get the job offer. It's Tuesday now and I got a call back from the person who helped me with the county, asking why I never called back and so on. I feel bad, how do I fix this? I'm disappointed because now im jobless and it would feel bad to ask if the position is still avalanche even though they waited for me to call back and I never did. Or should I just let it go and assume they have moved on, albeit are upset.

Job A*: (voting coordinator), county job, $15, HIGH stress, long hours, good resume builder, in charge of hiring, 15 supervisors (who are in charge of hundreds of poll employees and volunteers), creating documents, regulations, equipment, and over seeing a successful election.temp, MIGHT lead to job with county, works with mayor. Job offered.

Job B*: (Mortgage closer), bank, roughly $20, stable, less stress, good hours. Preferred.

So I got offered a job with A*, but I want to work at B*, I didn t know A* paid that much till I got a call back and then asked if they could wait till Friday for my response. It seems like a lot of responsibility for little pay. But I found out I got the offer after I emailed B* and they told me they are still interviewing. How do I get them to expedite their choice, without seeming annoying, and without losing both offers since I do not have a guarantee for B*, or should I just accept A*. (With B* I was the first of a few interviewees, and impressed the HR rep, they showed me around the office afterwards, showing the fridge, emp. Entrance, and dining area, so I have high hopes for it, even if I was the first to interview) but now I have to decide by 12 pm on friday if I take A, o get B* to give me a response before that, or risk losing both. What should I do, I really want B*, but if I don t get any job I risk not making money to pay next month s rent.

do I want to risk being that stressed and possibly miserable for such little pay?

So today I went in to test for benefits technician for my county of education. The process is: send your resume, if they feel you are qualified then you take an exam, then if you pass, you get an interview. Well I feel I did amazing on the test, at most getting 3 out of 70 wrong, I remember checking all my math was correct, my grammar proper, and so on. I came out thinking I was a for sure for an interview. But they said I did not pass and they would move along. My question is how does the test process work, is it the best 3 getthe interview or is there a bar that has to be met, i.e. 60/70 correct? Also someone spoke to me today after the exam and she told me it s rigged, that they have someone in mind for the position that already works in the county and that the testing and interviews are just for formality, as they would rather hire from within. My question is, is that OK to do? If so, why?

so i was driving and trying to exit. I did all the right things, indicating by using turn signals, and merging when i think it is safe to do so. The question here though, if there is another vehicle on the exit lane, and they are going 40-55 on a 15 mph exit. I merged in knowing that the exit is 15 mph, but still with adequate room. Well the person got mad because they slammed on their brakes, i argued that they were not paying attention to the signs and i only merged because they slowed down, and i thought it was safe. In this case who is right? Did i do right by merging when i thought it was safe, or was he within his right because he was in the lane before me, thus did not have to slow down, (even though he would have had to because of the upcoming turn; 15mph exit)

so I was driving home at 5 pm in january, so it was a little dark, and I am trying to exit, using turn signals to indicate my desire to do so. When far back i see a vehicle with lights off going 45-55 mph on a 15 mph exit. Thinking it is unsafe to merge i do not do anything, but then about 25 yards before the exit ends, the vehicle slows down. I believe they saw me indicating and were allowing me to merge, when i get to the bottom, the vehicle lights up, and it is an officer car, and he pulls me over a little after that. I know that he has the right of way and that I did not have to merge, but my argument is that because this ticket is based on opinion, i believe the officer was busy with too many tasks to fully focus on me. Having his lights off, going to fast on a slow exit, and allowing adequate room to allow others to enter. Plus when he originally pulled me over he told me he pulled me over for another reason, (a different moving violation), but when i got home and looked up the one he wrote down, it was the unsafe lane change. Unfortunately, i did not record this interaction, but i did have a friend in the car with me, when we looked over and I believed he was allowing me to enter. From our perspective it was safe to do a lane change because adequate room and notice was allowed.any advice, or commentary that could help or provide counter arguments to improve my case?

So, while looking for work, I was hired through a staffing agency for a company to do data entry. They worked around my schedule and it helped a lot, considering I had no other source of income. Well, last minute I was told that I got the job at a corporation for supervisor position, I would be making 15.30 per hour for 27.5 hours, vs my 12 hr, for 30 hours. Unfortunately I can only do one of the jobs, how should I quit the one I have? I was hired through an agency so I was never technically an employee (after 60 days the company would of hired me and given me a dollar raise, been here for about 4 weeks). So do I just not show up and have them assume, call my staffing agency and tell them I am done with the assignment, or tell them in person I got a better job offer elsewhere? I feel bad because of how much they tried to work around my schedule, considering it was not something they commonly did for everyone, or other employees.

My girlfriend and i just moved into our own apartment, she is a graduate student doing research from 9 to 6, I have been applying to many jobs, from banks to warehouses, but I can only seem to get evening jobs. usually from 5:30 onward, it seems like I cannot find a stable 9 to 5 job. I would like to have some time with her, as she goes to visit her family on the weekends, and often I work as well. But it seems like with our schedules we never have time for each other. how does everyone else do it?

I really want to get into investing in stock , but have no idea how it works, what the numbers mean, or what to invest in. let alone which site to use. I am really cash strapped, so if you can keep that in mind, i would appreciate it.

Recently I wanted to get back into shape, (well ive been wanting to for a while, but recently took the initiative), but the question I come across is which is better more cardio or more lifting. I prefer lifting as I played football in high school , and retained most of the muscle, and I remember reading that the more you gain, the longer the calories are burned from the stress on the muscles. But as my goal is to lose weight, I was wondering whether I should focus more on running or retain my lifting schedule. I.e. run 3 times a week, and lift 2 times, or vice versa. or a mix of 20 min of cardio with an hour of lifting?

I fill out the applications ,try to talk to them in person (some say to make an appointment and I never hear from them, some say to do an application, and others say they are not hiring, rather another area is). After doing all this, I got nowhere. I asked different employees, and they all advised the only way to get a job offer is to get good with a manager. I am a recent graduate student (economics/ aministratitve) , with a good amount of work experience, my preference would be Well's Fargo, but any teller job will do. Does anyone have any advice on how they got through? On how to talk to the manager, or is it true? Or is there something I am missing?
