  • Deep frying temperature question?

Is there a set temperature for deep frying foods? Or does the temperature vary depending on how fast the food cooks?

I've been having problems with my food cooking unevenly. If I fry something that cooks quickly, like shrimp, the inside gets done first, and the breading is not golden yet. However, if I fry something that cooks slowly, like fried chicken, the breading gets done long before the chicken is finished. I'm assuming it's a temperature problem. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  • Do bed bugs live/bite in clothing?

I think I have a bed bug infestation, but I can't find any evidence for the type of bug other than bites (i.e. no bugs upon inspection, no spotting, etc.) The thing is, whatever it is that's biting me is living in my clothing and biting me during the day. I've inspected my clothing, but I can't find any sign of bugs. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the type of bug (if not bed bugs) or any ways to prove that it is a bed bug?
