He refuses to go to sleep unless I am holding him or he is sleeping in my bed with me...It was cute when he was two weeks old because I had help around the house but now I'm getting ready to go back to work and I can't get anything done around the house. He could be passed out in my arms but the second I put him down in his bed, he is wide awake and crying. My pediatrician said I should let him cry for 10 minutes (which is agony for me) before picking him up but the problem is that he could go on for a long time. He has cried for almost an hour straight before and the second I pick him up, he is out cold, put him back down and the chaos starts all over. I don't want to listen to him cry (for those of you that will tell me how horrible I am) but I don't know what else to do. I'm not getting any sleep when he is in my bed with me and he can't be in there forever. I have tried everything I can think of to make a smooth transition.

My sister in law has a bi-racial child. My niece is a beautiful little girl. However, my SIL insists on putting her hair in a million different braids and every time we ask her why, she says "cause she is black"! My argument is that she should teach my niece the history and the culture of being african american, not to feed into the stereotype of "acting black". My niece should be educated and that's not the way that it is in that house and it's embarrassing to be out in public with my SIL and niece because of the way they dress and act. It's not my nieces fault. So my question is, what is acting black?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years. He has a daughter with his ex and as 11 months of being together, I found out I was pregnant. He didn't want to keep the baby so we had an abortion. Now, almost two years to the day, I find out that I'm pregnant. Of course I'm terrified but at the same time really happy. However, he is not. He walks around the house saying it sucks and that he didn't want any more kids right now. I just sort of ignor him because 1. he knew it could always happen 2. I will never have another abortion. How do I still validate his feelings about being nervous and not happy but not get myself down cause I'm doing this!

So, my 2 year old cat knows what he can and can't be on. I'm convinced that he understands english. He is a huge mama's boy. Today, when my boyfriend and I were at work, he climbed up on the entertainment center (that's a no Jake zone) and knocked a plant on to the floor. My boyrfriend came home and told him that he was in big trouble when I got home. I can home and told him in a very stern voice to come here. He fluffed up his tail (never seen him do that before) and cried all the way to my feet where he just sort of laid down on his back. I told him he was a bad boy and he knows better (which he sort of does) and he walked around the house crying for another 20 minutes before coming up to give me kisses. Now I know I have read that cats do this to get big and buff but are there any other reasons?

Hello! I'm from the Chicago area and am have decided to finally have facial work done. I have a few refferals but getting a few more can't hurt when you are changing the way you look right? I need to know if there is anyone out there who has had work done. I'm willing to travel a bit if needed. **This question is not for critism but for honest answers**

My curiousity is peaked here. Everyone who seems to be asking "size" questions or hte big O questions also feels the need to mention that they are 14. For one, why are 14 year olds on the computer asking these questions, why are they having sex and needing to worry about it, and if it's a sick adult posing as a minor, why are we entertaining their issues. I think yahoo needs to filter a little better and get rid of these questions. What are your thoughts?

I have a golden retriever who is 12 years old. He kept falling down so we took him to the vet and he said that he almost has no hip sockets left. The vet wants to give his shots of Adequan twice a week for the next month to see if there is any improvement. He is not in any pain. He is a good dog and we just are not ready to put him down. Any thoughts on this drug?

I am just kind of disturbed that they have 16+ children. Does anyone agree that they might not have the best upbringing. I don't doubt that all of these children are not loved but how can this family afford to live? I think it's kind of ridiculous personally and I understand that their religion forbids birth control but I just don't think it's right to have that many children. Any opinions?

My niece is staying with me for a few days. Today is her birthday and I'm taking her to her party. (Her mom is going to meet us there I just wanted to give her a break). Well, her mom is white, I'm white and my niece is bi-racial. She has beautiful long curly hair. It is just really coarse in the back. Any suggestions for what I can put in it after her bath to give her those pretty curls back and not a mess. I know that some things are better than others and she is just a baby so I don't want to chemical her up. Thanks

It looked like her mother was wearing a wig and her eyebrows were tatooed on. Larissa is just really dark.
