6 AnswersPerforming Arts1 decade agoyoung pregnant guinea pig... advise?
I got a guinea pig about a week ago. originally I was told that you cant tell what a guinea pigs gender is until they are 3 months old, but that is obviously wrong, since I did my research and found out that she was a female. i also discovered that after so many weeks males and females need to be seperated after so many weeks. after a few days i relized that all the signs pointed to her being pregnant. i can even feel the babies in her stomach. i know she is very young because when she was given to me she fit in the palm of my hand and now after a week or so she has just about doubled in size. also the person who gave her to me says she cant be more than a month or so old. i already have her eating plenty of hay and pellets for fiber and i give her vitamin drops with her water. i give her regular servings of fruit and veggies, she seems healthy and i think everything is going fairly well. i was hoping for some advise. maybe things i could be doing or stop doing. Thank you in advanced, I'm just nervous and paranoid.
4 AnswersRodents1 decade agoguinie pig wont eat his pellets, or drink his water?
im not really worried about him starving to death because i can get him to eat fruits and veggies no problem but im worried that he may get dehydrated from not drinking, and im worried that he might not be getting the nutrion he needs (that the pellets would give him) i have only had him a couple days, but i asked his previous owner what they were feeding him, and they say that he got hay, pellets, and sometimes lettus. i dont know. does anyone have some advise of what i can do?

8 AnswersRodents1 decade agois it safe for a horse to eat lawn clippings?
I'm not trying to feed them to the horses i swear. I was mowing part of my lawn the other day with a riding lawn mower and i was dumping the clippings into the back of my truck like i always do and when i was coming back to dump another load i noticed that my clydesdale was hanging around the truck so i got a little worried. I'm not sure if the clippings that come out of a mower like that have any chemicals on them and i know that its probably a stupid question but i was hoping that someone could help me. I don't think he ate any but I just want to know just in case.
Thanks
4 AnswersOther - Pets1 decade agohow to kill a rat quickly and humanly without hurting him?
i have a pet rat that i have only had for a year or so. hes a big guy really and i love him alot, but a few months back i noticed a bump growing on his back. i figured it was nothing since he had a tendancy to scratch himself when he was itchy because his claws are just too sharp. about a month ago i took him out to play with him and noticed how big the bump had gotten and realized that it was now a tumor, clear as day. hes starting to slow down a lot and is starting to lose his hair. i just dont have the heart to watch him die. i knew this day would come, but i was hoping i wouldnt have to take nature into my own hands. does anyone know a quick, easy, painless way to kill him that doesnt involve me physically harming him? i had a girble that i had to shoot with a bbgun before and i swear im scared for life by it. please help.
