  • What can I use the usb port for on my Motorola dct6416?

I've got a Motorola dct6416. Unfortunately, the cable co. didn't give me a manual. I'm wondering what I can do with the usb port on the front of the box. I understand that I can buy a cable to move data from the DVR to my computer, but are there any other applications? I'm especially curious about using the DVR as a capturing device for taking video from video games, dvds, etc. Can I hook up other devices to the DVR to record their output? Perhaps I can use a flash drive? I'm sorry for the multiple questions, I'm just fishing a bit. Thanks for any input.

  • Can anyone help with airport preservation?

My local airport still has original facilities dating back to 1929. The buildings were a site of an aviation museum for several years, but the buildings are in disrepair and the museum has closed. The fate of these buldings is very threatened. Aiports change constantly over the years and very few buildings are left from the era. I'm looking for anyone who might be interested in helping find support for such a project. This is an awesome opportunity to hang on to an almost century old piece of history. Can you offer any ideas or organizations that might assist?

  • Did Iraq have WMDs?

Is there any evidence that might suggest that we didn't find WMDs in Iraq because we supplied them in the first place and couldn't let that get out? It's an intriguing thought, but a little far-fetched. Has this been investigated in any serious way (outside of fringe conspiracy circles)?

  • Are Rock Hudson and Sylvester Stallone related?

I've noticed that they seem to resemble each other. Hudson would have been almost twenty when Sylvester Stallone was born. What do you think?

  • What's wrong with the Cessna Skymaster?

I've heard a few people make jokes about the Skymaster and talk about how bad a plane it is. It seems great to me, but I've never flown or been around one. What's the problem? Is it hard to maintain? Difficult to fly? What do you think?

  • Mens Watch -- How do I properly wind this Vostok watch?

I just bought a vintage Vostok Komandorskii watch. It needs to be wound periodically, but I'm unsure of how to do it and can't find any manuals or user info online. I'd like to get some good advise to avoid fumbling with it and taking the chance of messing it up. Does anyone have a similiar watch they can tell me about or know of any sites with information? Thanks.

  • Pilots! What was your longest cross country flight? Were there any problems?

I and a friend are considering a couple of really long flights. We've been talking to a few "old timers" and we're not worried, but I thought I'd throw this out and see what I get. By the way, we're going to be using a Super Cub, so if you have much experience or advice with that aircraft, please sound off. Thanks.

  • Does anybody know of other bands like Dos Gringos?

I'm becoming a big fan of the "almost" famous fighter pilot band called Dos Gringos. Does anybody know of somebody who does aviaton related music like theirs?

  • Does anybody know someone in the U.S. Southwest who might give me a jet ride if I pay the costs?

I haven't had an opportunity to fly for some time and it'll be a while before I get through school. Is there anybody who'd like to take a passenger if I pay for gas? Maybe an old MiG or a trainer like an Iskra?

  • Where can I find a good free music maker for my PC?

Years ago, I played around with a music generator on a friend's PC and really enjoyed it. I'm curious about finding a good one to download, but I'm not really serious enough to pay a lot for a program and it doesn't have to be professional grade sound. Is there anything you might suggest? Maybe something similiar to MTV music generator? By the way, I'm using XP home. Thanks.
