When we're going through a course and we need to change our lead, my horse will only change in the front. I've heard not to stop him, just keep pushing him till he changes. I've heard to make him gallop, cause horses cant gallop when counter cantering, so he'd have to change. I've heard to bring him to a trot or walk and ask him to canter again..
