Mac font size equivalent to microsoft?

What size do i put my Mac font size in to make it the equivalent to Microsoft's 14 font?

A 14 font on mac is not the same as a 14 font size in microsoft.

Dont even bother telling me there the same, they are not.

Update:

Don't use points, pixels or other non-standard units on a computer for font sizes. Use points if you are printing the content after you make a proper CSS print only stylesheet. Use "em".

The font sizes displayed are dependent on the font family used, the browser being used to view the fonts and the unit used to size the font family. All other factors being equal such as having the browser text size and resolution set properly.

The point system is pretty standard as far as I know, so 12 point Times New Roman should be 12 point Times New Roman. It may look different because your Mac's display has a different (probably higher) pixel density than that of the school's PC, or because the text is smoothed with a slightly different technique on OS X vs. Windows. As long as you save the paper into a format that you know can be easily read by Word as well (perhaps something more basic, like RTF), and perhaps take a couple minutes once you're there just to check it over in Word and make sure everything made it through the transition, it should be fine. Best of luck!

points aren't relative to the computer, any more than inches are. A "Mac inch" is the same as a "Windows inch", and 14 points is 14 points in a Mac or a Windows computer. (A point is 1/72 of an inch.) So 14 point type is type that's ~0.1944444" high, regardless of what computer is printing it. (How it appears on the screen depends on the screen size and resolution.)
