I'm writing a description, and it's supposed to say that a character lives with his brother, as in just the two of them without parents or anyone else.

I don't know how to put it.. "He lives *alone* with his brother" might sound odd.. Since, if he's with his brother, he's not 'alone'.. But, "He lives with his brother" kinda gives the idea they live together with their parents and/or family.

Which one sounds better? Or, is there a different way to say it?

I want it to be perfect so I'm going nuts over every detail..

I can't find the English word for this thing, I'll describe it:

It's a notebook, which can either be bought or handmade, usually collected by girls in elementary school. You give it to friends, and they usually write down various things about themselves (their birthday, hobbies, favorite movies, music), or sometimes draw or put pictures in it.

In my language, we call it something that would literally translate to 'book of memories' or 'memory collection'.

The dictionary and translators only give me 'scrapbook' or 'yearbook', but I don't think that's quite it.

From what I've learned, a yearbook is something they do in American schools (and what I'm looking for doesn't have to be for school), and a scrapbook is usually just pictures.. Right? I'm not sure.

So, if you know anything like this, please tell me.

Okay, so the story is a romantic comedy genre, about a woman who works as something like a vet on the radio, giving advices to the people who call the station. I think her name's Abby..

Anyway, one day a guy calls her to ask something about his dog (a golden retriever if I remember correctly), and he is impressed by her intelligence and all, and he really likes her voice, and eventually they start phone-dating.. xD

Yeah, they call and call each other, and they pretty much fall in love and decide to meet each other. they decide the place and time, but when he asks her how she looks (to know it's her when they meet) she's not confident about her appearance and thinks she's not pretty and all, so she randomly describes a model from a poster in front of her, telling him she's 'blond, slim, and has long legs'.. But, actually, she's a brunette, kinda short, and a little bit chubby, but she IS cute and pretty in her own way..

Then she meets a model, and I don't know if that was the model from that poster, but she fits the description of 'blond, slim and long legs' perfectly.. She becomes friends with that model who is actually unhappy in a way, because her boyfriend is a total jerk and all that people find in her is her good looks. So, yeah, they become friends, and guess what happens.. The main girl has her friend (the model) meet the guy she was supposed to meet herself, and act as if she's Abby (still not sure if that's the main girl's name, but let's keep it at that).

So, during the story, Abby wants to tell the guy everything, but still can't get the courage, so she keeps phoning him and having her friend act as her.. At some point, she comes along to meet the guy, but acting as the model's BFF who randomly came along..

At the end he realizes she's the real Abby by seeing a poster of her radio-show whit her picture on it, and they finally end up together....

I've seen it before on TV but it was German-dubbed (yes, I'm German) so I'm not sure if the movie is in English, but the names sound American, so I think it should be in English..

Okay, so here's the thing:

My baby sis and I are very close, we tell each other everything.

Lately she keeps talking about a girl in school being very mean to her, and now the situation's getting worse..

The girl is always mean to her, yells at her, laughs at her and it's really bothering me.

Then sis told me that a couple of days ago the girl made her take off her new jacket and she stepped on it!! It is a REALLY expensive and nice jacket she just got from me.. And I'm REALLY angry..

Then, there was this fight they had and it ended up with that girl pushing sis down the stairs an laughing at her!! :((

I just don't know what to do, sis is just 10 and I'm 15, she already talked to the teacher, and mum also did once, but no one does anything about it!!

As I already said before, sis and I are very close, and we always stand up for each other, but I just don't know what to do.... :(( I mean, talking to that girl doesn't change anything..

What should I do?? Please suggest me something, I'm getting desperate!!

And I would do bad things if it's the only way to protect sis, so please help me!!
