2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs5 years agoCan Caltrans force me to pay for a light pole?
Received a letter, saying I owed Caltrans $3,000 for a light pole that was damaged in an accident 2 years ago... the information on the letter I received has inaccuracies, especially the point on color of vehicle & even the vehicle model is wrong, it belongs to a vehicle I've never owned or driven, actually it was the other vehicle that hit me... & it said send letter to my insurance company, but I no longer have that insurance company for last year and half... can they still nail me if they have wrong info on paperwork?

3 AnswersWrestling6 years agoWife arrested on a 15 years old warrant (failure to appear) What's the worst/best case scenario?
She was arrested on 01/22/15 after reporting a hit/run felony... Her charge is a felony warrant for "failure to appear", 15 years ago on a possession drug charge...
She appears in court on Monday... what is the worst/best case scenario...
She has been living in the area for 20 years, she never ran (per say) she just never reported to court... I can't bail her out for financial reasons, so she's stuck til Monday... She has never done drugs, nor committed any crimes... we own a business together & I work security at night (our business will probably end if she goes to jail), so what is the best/worst case scenario on an 11350 H&S...

1 AnswerOther - Electronics7 years agocan you name this western movie?
I saw this western movie years ago... and I remember is it was in color, it was a movie about the cavalry in a fort in the west that was eventually attacked by Indians and over run, and burned... the last cavalry soldier was killed, if I remember, was when an Indian threw a spear and impaled him on a door or something like that... and the fort looked kind of small... looked like it was filmed on a really small soundstage... I don't remember who was in it... I was a kid... It looked to be from either the 50's, maybe 60's, not sure...
any titles ideas...
2 AnswersMovies7 years agoCalifornia legislators pass bill banning Confederate flag! 1st. Admendment violation?
Are you serious??? That is a violation of the 1st. Amendment rights of free speech! I have two flags on my wall, and I used to have a windowscape on the rear window of my truck for years... I also have a hat that has the flag on it... I have never had any issues with anyone, not even from black people, from me having the flag!
The bill passed 71 - 1 in favor of the ban, and now goes to the Senate... If this bill passes, it clearly violates free speech, and the 1st. Amendment... God, I hate California!!!
3 AnswersOther - Politics & Government7 years agoWhat are your thoughts on this question regarding jury duty?
I was thinking the other day about jury duty, and this came across my mind...
The law states that all persons are required "by law" to appear for jury duty... if they do not, they can be arrested and or fined penalties for not appearing...
Now, let's get past the "civic duty" aspect and consider this... I understand the jury duty and why...
If you, do not want to serve, no matter the reason, you can be arrested and fined, to me that sounds a bit like coercion and blackmail... and that is, under the criminal code is illegal...so, basically I can be forced to do something, I'd prefer not to do, no matter the reason, and if I don't, then I go to jail and or pay a hefty fine!
Wow! Sounds like my civil rights mean nothing to the court, if they can legally force me to appear... however, they cannot force me to be a fair and impartial juror to the defendant under those circumstances...
Just something that I was thinking about the other day... opinions?
4 AnswersCivic Participation7 years agoWill this get me out of jury duty?
I am hearing impaired... I am around 90% plus deaf in my left ear no hearing aid will work or fit in that ear as canal is too small. I am around 50/60% plus hearing loss in right ear, and I do wear a hearing aid in that ear, but you practically havehave to always be either in from of my or mildly on my right side for me to hear... I cannot hear, almost at all if you are on the left side... nor can I hear well in medium to large rooms, nor a a fair distance...
The last time I was in a court room, I never heard the judge when he spoke, maybe a couple words, that's it... well???
If all else fails, I'll just say I'm a racist, and hate everyone!
9 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agowhat if I refused to sit for jury duty?
When I show up for service, what if I told them I do not want to/will not serve on a jury... what's the worst they can do? I mean, I just don't care about serving... what's the worst? I mean, they can't force me to sit there and be fair & impartial if I don't want too!
I'll show up, but what if I refuse, pure & simple!?
