  • HIV rapid test question?

I took an HIV rapid test a while back in which the results came back negative, but lately I have been a little paranoid. I am not worried about the accuracy of the test itself, but whether or not I did it right. I went to the clinic and did the one where you put a swab in your mouth. I have been having these worries though that maybe I did not swab good enough. Are my worries justified? Is it possible to just have it touch your gums and have it be accurate? It was a long time ago so I do not remember how good a swabbed it...would that even make a difference?

  • Help with persuasive speech?

I need some help deciding on a topic for a persuasive speech in my public presentations class. I must present an appeal to the class that will alter, or attempt to alter, a current behavior or belief. I need to argue one side of it for the first speech, and the other side of it for the second speech.

The hard part is that there is a forbidden topic list which includes euthanasia, abortion, gun control, drugs and alcohol (legalization of marijuana, drinking age, drunk driving etc), confederate flag, gambling/lottery, homosexuality, birth control, STD's (HIV, AIDS), animal testing/animal rights, prostitution, driving age, cloning/genetic engineering, corporal/capital punishment, recycling, smoking/no smoking, pornography, seat belt use, flag burning, term limits, condom use, religion and media violence.

I have to argue both sides of it, so it shouldn't be anything too extreme...

Thank you for anyone willing to help!

  • Getting re-tested for HIV/AIDS and STD's?

My partner and I got tested for HIV/AIDS, and other STDs back in April an all of our tests came back negative, we did the quick test for HIV (the one where we got the results in about 45 minutes) I was curious how accurate these tests are and if we should get re-tested just to be safe? I am a male and she is a female. It had been a year and a half since I had sex with someone other than her, and it had been about 2 years since she had sex with someone other than me. Is that enough time to allow the diseases to show up? Do I have anything to worry about or am I just being paranoid?
