No Name

My mother-in-law, my children's grandmother, does everything for the grandson and nothing for her granddaughters.

Anytime anyone says anything to her she says but he's a boy.

Really? How can a women do so sexist? How can she do everything for the boy and nothing for the girls.

How should I handle this? My girls and the other granddaughters in the family feel hurt.

Some advice please.

My sister gave my daughter a tripod for Christmas. My daughter doesn't own a video camera or even a camera. Since we live in a different state - I told my sister thank you that was very nice but she doesn't own a camera - could you get her something else? I knew I couldn't return it because it was from Amazon and as the gift receiver we would have to wrap it and ship it to them at our expense - as the gift giver she could do this for free.

I was upset with her because she also bought my other daughter that doesn't own a video camera a tripod as well. My other daughter just kept it and put it in the closet.

My sister also, got my husband's name in the grab and ordered him the wrong thing from Amazon again and knew it and gave it to him anyway.

I feel my sister was not at all thoughtful in her gifts - just did what was easy or cheap. How can she be offended when she bought kids tripods when they don't even own video cameras. My husband and I own 2 tripods already that we never use.

I only gave it back to her on Christmas day because we live in another state and I would have had to pay shipping to get it to her or Amazon.

I don't know how she can be offended. Its like giving someone a wagon that needs a horse to pull it but they don't own a horse.

Thoughtful gifts are gifts that take thought. Don't buy someone a tripod if they don't own a video camera.

I guess I should have kept it to hang our wet underware on.

My husband has always had a bad temper. When I was 18 and he 19, I believed him when he said he'd change, he promised again and again. He has always been full of hate and anger. He calls me stupid and retarded in front of the kids, he uses the F word and any other word he feels like. He yells and swears at me in public. He has been getting worse over the last 6 weeks. He's punch holes in the closet door 3 times recently, he kicks things and busted Thur the bathroom door. He thinks he's normal and will not get help. I can't work right now due to health reasons. Advice please.

My daughter is being bullied by another 5th grade girl. The girl and her Mom (also a bully) just moved in across the street. The bully hit my daughter upside the head at school - lied about it and didn't get punished. How can I deal with this situation - every time I step onto my front step I see these people. Any suggests on what to do and how my daughter can cope?

I would like to move my kids and I to a nice place. Where people are kind. My kids "friends" are horrible. One hit my daughter in the head - another kids Mom called all of their friends and trash talked my daughter because they had a minor disagreement - my daughter did nothing wrong. The kids are mean - the parents are hostile and nasty. Please help me school ends soon and I'd like to move over the summer.

Any nice people in New Hampshire or Maine? or anywhere in the USA we need a fresh start.

I've lived here my whole life and the kids and adults are just plain mean? Are people nicer outside of Massachusetts?
