Is the Taxation of Chargeable Gains Act 1992 the same as the Taxation of Capital Gains Act 1992?
My lecturer has asked us to look at the 'Taxation of Capital Gains Act 1992' but what comes up is the 'Taxation of Chargeable Gains Act 1992' - am I correct to assume that it was renamed and thus is the same?
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics5 years agoHitachi TV: Full HD vs HD Ready?
I'm looking to buy a small TV which will be used mainly for playing Xbox but also for watching TV occasionally. There's a 24 inch Full HD TV, and then for the same price from the same brand; a 26 inch HD ready TV that's double the weight.
Can someone please explain the difference between Full HD and HD Ready? Why does the weight of the TV double? They're both a Hitachi edge lit LED tv at Argos. The 26 inch also has double the power consumption and on mode power. I'm just a little confused!
Thanks.

4 AnswersComputer Networking8 years agoiMac processor - i5 vs i7?
I'm ordering a new 21.5inch iMac but was wondering if its worth the extra £150 to upgrade the processor from quad-core 2.9 i5 to quad-core 3.1 i7.
Uses:
- the usual email/web browsing
- Microsoft office for college
- Macromedia flash for college
- Bootcamp
- Gaming but nothing much, at most maybe a simulation game every now and then
- Will be a lot of multitasking
So yeah, do you think I'd notice much difference between the two? Enough difference to make it worthwhile paying the extra £150? Or would you rather spend that much elsewhere, maybe upgrading something else.
5 AnswersDesktops8 years agoMicrosoft Office University?
Ok so I was looking for an Access trial, but then came across Microsoft Office University
http://store.digitalriver.com/store/msshgb/en_GB/D...
It seems that I'd be able to buy it from just being in College - not University, as I have a .ac.uk email address. However, I was just wondering if anyone has bought it before and if you know how many PCs you can install it on?
2 AnswersSoftware9 years agoSilly question.. Macbook Pro trackpad?
Ok so basically, I went to an Apple store and used a Macbook Pro. I tried to move the cursor which it did, but then when I tried to left click - it didn't work. So I tried a different one, and the same thing happened. I then realised that there's two 'invisible' buttons at the bottom and I had to press the left button to click - so my question is.. Can you not just click anywhere on a Macbook Pro trackpad to left click? Is is in the settings? If you have to use the button then that's annoying :/ I'm buying one soon but my current Dell laptop allows me to click anywhere - the buttons are optional.

Is Economics classed as a humanities subject? I'm asking because of my uni choice - Kings College London asks for a humanities subject at A level.
4 AnswersEconomics9 years agoEconomics: A firm produces an output which..?
..maximises both its profits and its total revenue. What does this indicate?
A marginal cost is zero
B total cost is maximised
C marginal cost is less than marginal revenue
D marginal revenue is equal to average cost

It's a multiple choice questions for Economics at A-level, but I'm not sure what the answer is. All I know is that maximised revenue occurs when MR=0. Please explain the answer you're saying is the correct one.
1 AnswerHomework Help9 years agoWhat's wrong with me?
Since Monday, and all this week, I've been feeling very tired no matter how much sleep I get. One minute I'll be feeling hot and then not long after, I'll start feeling a little cold. Occasionally, I'd say twice this week, I've felt like I was going to faint. I've been feeling like this since Monday morning, have been drinking a lot of water since and making sure I've had breakfast each morning, but it's now Saturday and I'm feeling just as bad as I did on Monday.
I've been at college every day (went home early Monday, and again Friday) and so have been waking up at 6:30-7:00 each morning - sleeping on average for 7-9 hours. What's wrong with me?
3 AnswersMen's Health9 years agoMacbook Pro 13 inch - yes/no?
I'm planning on buying:
Macbook Pro 13 inch with
2.9GHz Dual-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM — 2x4GB
Intel HD 4000
Will this be ok for using Microsoft Office, iLife, Xcode, and general mail/web browsing etc. I've never had a Mac before, and I'm not sure if it'll be ok using Xcode - I'm learning to code iOS apps.
Thanks!
