  • Movie with terrorists attacking a US base ?

All I remember from the movie is a policeman telling the Americans to come to him and as soon as they surrounded him he said Ya illa ha illala and blew himself up. It shocked me. My wife never saw it and I want to get it but can't remember the name

  • Cooking lady who would quote the Bhagavad gita?

There was a very old cooking show with this Asian woman who cooked vegetarian meals and I think lived in Hawaii probably around 20 years ago. She had two sons who used to help her in the kitchen and she was a hare krishna. At the end of her show she would often quote the bhagavad gita and show shots of the beach and sunset. I just remember her dishes being really weird and she used to have very strange combinations of food that seemed really unappetizing and would often say how complete and healthy the meal is. What is the name of the show/lady?

  • Does time really change within the spacetime fabric?

Ok first off I only did Physics at O' levels so please forgive me for any flaws in my concept.I am having trouble grasping a concept that I just saw on Known Universe.Ok first off, speed is relative to the observer. If you were traveling at 50 miles an hour and a car passed you at 60 miles an hour you would see the car passing you at 10 miles an hour. However apparently light does not work in this way.If you were traveling at 99% the speed of light, you would still see light passing you at 186,282 miles per second. Einstein said in his theory of general relativity that in order for this phenomenon to occur, space would not change relative to you but rather time would.

However this is assuming that the speed of light was constant. But since space is a vacuum, wouldn't light continue to accelerate through space according to Newtons second law? This would mean that for relatively close objects like the sun we would be accurate in our measurement of light at 186,282 miles per second because the light did not have enough time and space to accelerate to speed greater than its known speed, but for further objects the speed of light can be much greater. Assuming the speed of light was much greater than what we believe it to be, then if we traveled at 99% of 186, 282 miles per second ,relative to the actual speed of light even that speed would be negotiable. This would be the same as a car passing you at 100 miles per hour while you were stationary observing it to be going 100 miles per hour, or the car passing you at 100 miles per hour while you were moving 1 mile per hour observing the car to be 99 miles per hour. The relative difference would be so small that it can assumed to be zero. The question is therefore is it probable that assuming light is actually going much faster the farther out in the universe it is relative to us, that time itself does not have to change for us to observe it going that fast regardless of our speed?
