  • Wedding gift for already set up household?

I'm trying to think of a good gift for a couple that has been living together for some time and already has all the stuff people need when first starting out. Any ideas? The more unique, the better! Thanks!

  • Stalker question?

My boyfriend of one month (yes, not long) dated a girl 8 months before we started dating. They only dated for three months. She has a history of "stalking," meaning she won't stop calling, stopping by his house, etc. In the past, he threatened her with a restraining order. She did stop for awhile, but now the calls are starting again. His friends told him I should call and talk to her, but I don't think that's a good idea. I think that would only make her more obsessive since he's now "taken." I think he should completely ignore her, including not answering the door if it's her. Has anyone had any experience with this? Any advice? By the way, this isn't a "high school" thing. I'm 40 and my boyfriend is 43.

  • Question for all?

If a hermaphrodite has a sex change, do they become a eunuch?

If a sex change is changing to the sex you aren't, then doesn't that make sense?

    No serious answers, please.

    Smile. It's R&S. Anything goes.

  • What would be a good bread to serve with this?

    Elephant Stew

    Ingredients:

    1 Elephant

    Salt and Pepper

    Brown gravy

    2 Rabbits

Cut elephant into bite size pieces (this will take 4 months)

Cook over kerosene at 525 (about five months)

Add salt and pepper, cover with gravy

This will serve 3,800 people. If more people, add 2 rabbits.

(Only if necessary as most people don't like hare in their stew!)

Lol. My mom gave me this and I thought it was cute.

    Have a great day!

  • Question for Atheists...?

I've heard many say things to the effect of "I don't believe in God because I grew up / learned to think for myself / came into reality..."

My question is, were you raised in a home with practicing Christian parents? (I was raised in a home where we went to church on holidays, that was about it. ) And when I say "practicing Christian parents," I mean did your parents put Christ as the foundation at home?

I'm not being flippant or insulting and I'm not trying to "figure you out." I'm just curious. Thanks.

  • I just noticed...?

that under "Society and Culture," along with Religion and Spirituality there's also a subsection for Bull Fighting. Shouldn't they move that to a sub-subsection of R&S? It might be more peaceful here. lol

  • Just a question, how do you feel about this?

I just unblocked my Q&A so everyone could see what an idiot I've been in the past with my questions and answers. I've been argumentative, mean, rude...which is nothing I'm proud of. I've actually grown from being on this site. I'll apologize in advance for the length of this, but my question is, to everyone no matter what faith or lack thereof, can you read this with an open mind and if so, what does it say to you?

    My Child…

You may not know me, but I know everything about you

    …Psalm 139:1

I know when you sit down and when you rise up

    …Psalm 139:2

I am familiar with all your ways

    …Psalm 139:3

Even the very hairs on your head are numbered

    …Matthew 10:29-31

For you were made in my image

    …Genesis 1:27

In me you live and move and have your being

    …Acts 17:28

    For you are my offspring

    …Acts 17:28

I knew you even before you were conceived

    …Jeremiah 1:4-5

I chose you when I planned creation

    …Ephesians 1:11-12

You were not a mistake, for all your days are written in my book

    …Psalm 13

  • Can someone tell me how to?

unblock my Q&A's? I'm going to ask a question, but I want people to be able to read my past questions and answers to see where I'm coming from, should they wish to do so. I tried the "help" link, but it wasn't helpful. Thanks!

  • Question for Christians about satan?

Have you ever prayed for satan? That God might forgive him? Why would you or why wouldn't you? (I'm a Christian, by the way) Scripture is welcome!

  • Why was this question deleted?

Someone asked if Jesus was black. Most likely, he was Middle Eastern looking.

However, David Lerner made and interesting point. He wrote: "Children from each culture will render Jesus as looking like themselves unless taught to do differently. This is natural, and I think it is a part of God’s plan for reaching the nations. Jesus is no longer flesh and blood, as we know it. He is different from us. At this point in time we meet him as the Holy Spirit represents him to us. He has no color, no ethnic heritage, and no cultural distinctions except the holiness and righteousness of God."

What do you think of that view? I think it sums it up pretty well: it doesn't matter.

  • Does science support evolution?

From Science Digest: "Scientists who utterly reject Evolution may be one of our fastest-growing controversial minorities… Many of the scientists supporting this position hold impressive credentials in science."

A former evolutionist, Dr. Wilder-Smith wrote, "The Evolutionary model says that it is not necessary to assume the existence of anything, besides matter and energy, to produce life. That proposition is unscientific. We know perfectly well that if you leave matter to itself, it does not organize itself - in spite of all the efforts in recent years to prove that it does."

Secular scientist Richard Milton said, "Darwinism has been waning for several decades as its grip has weakened in successive areas: geology; paleontology; embryology; comparative anatomy. Now even geneticists are beginning to have doubts."

I can keep going and going and going...

  • Ten points to the first correct answer?

Pilate asked the crowds, "Which one do you want me to release to you - Barabbas, or Jesus who is called the Messiah?" Why did he phrase it like that? Why didn't he just say Barabbas or Jesus?
