  • Can you remove the rear seats of the 2013 Toyota RAV4?

Not just fold down, but remove the seats completely. I'm trying to make more room for storage.

  • Will the smoke alarm stop beeping if the battery runs dry?

I believe that my neighbor's smoke alarm is beeping every minute because it has low battery. I already wrote him a note, since he is not home. Out of curiosity, if the batteries never get changed, will the smoke alarm eventually stop beeping? How long will that take? I mean, what if my neighbor is on a long vacation?

  • Is there anything I can do about someone who hasn't paid their share of rent?

I had to move out before my apartment lease ended, so I found someone else to finish the lease after I moved out. I gave her the option of either (1) taking over the remaining lease by herself or (2) paying me the rent + utilities, and I pay the apartment manager. She decided that she would just pay me the rent + utilities while I paid the apartment manager. Thus, we both signed a new lease with both of our names on it.

The lease ended, and everything is wrapped up regarding the apartment complex and managers. She paid for the rent and utilities as agreed up until the last two months of utility bills. I texted and e-mailed her for the past month asking her to pay the last bill and whether she has received my messages, so we can finally settle this. But there has been no response. I don't know if she is purposely avoiding me or if she is just too busy. I assume that she is avoiding me. I just called, and left a voicemail.

I would like to just forget about this, and move on. But I am the type of person who hates breaking an agreement. Even if the amount is only $150, it's something that we agreed to, and I would like to stick with it. I mean, we were charged $377 for the move-out fee due to cleaning and everything, and I didn't even charge her for any of that because we never agreed to it.

  • Ointment to help heal bruises?

I got into a car accident, and suffered bruising on various locations on my body. The largest one is on my upper left chest from the seatbelt. The most painful one is from the bruise near my knee cap. What can I do to increase healing rate of these bruises? Are there any recommended ointments I can purchase from a store?

  • What good TV shows do you recommend to pass the summer?

I'm more into adventure, action, and sci fi series. I like shows such as Supernatural, Revenge, Once Upon a Time, Grimm, Touched, and Game of Thrones.

I also watch Glee and Modern Family.

I am not into reality TV shows or Romantic Dramas (such as 90210). I didn't like House or the Mindy Project. Please, no teenage supernatural stuff like Teen Wolf or another version of Twilight. I tried to watch The Secret Circle, and I couldn't finish it.

Are there any good American TV series that I can watch to pass the summer. It doesn't have to air during the summer, since I can always stream it.

  • Any other TV series like Game of Thrones or Merlin?

I really liked UK's "Merlin" for its humor, so I was sad when the series ended. "Game of Thrones" is on a whole other level that is more serious. I am interested in a TV series from that time period that is light and funny, but not so serious like "Game of Thrones."

  • Linux OS: How do I increase font and size of everything?

I bought a laptop with a very high resolution, so everything appears small. With Windows, I can increase the fond size and everything, so it's more tolerable. But in Linux, how do I do that without changing the resolution? I just want to magnify everything.

  • Health Insurance: How much do the usually cost?

I know it varies, but can you give me range for Kaiser, Pacificare, Blue Shields, etc. I have to pay a $3,500 annual deductible for Blue Shields. Is that a lot? I'm wondering how much my employer pays. The amount my employer pays is termed a "premium," correct? I mean, just how much does Blue Shields or any health insurance cost for the deductible to already be at $3,500?

  • Do you miss the old school days?

I just turned 26, and I feel so old. I miss all the good days chilling with your pals, studying and stressing with your classmates, and finding myself in awkward situations. Elementary, Middle, High, and College. I wished that school would never end. Good old days... There were so much more I wish I'd done before I graduated. What about you? What would you change? What do you miss the most?

  • Men: How do you feel when a girl/woman you just met rejected you?

You don't know this girl/woman. You just thought that she was pretty, seemed kind of interesting, and might have a chance with her. So you walk up to her, and start making conversation. She responds, so you gain more confidence. With some courage and trying not to make it too awkward, you ask her for her number. Or you ask her if she ever wants to meet up and hang out. Her gaily expression drops.

At this very moment, you already know that she is not interested. You know that she is going to tell you, "No" someway somehow. How do you feel? And how would you want this woman to tell you, "No?" Bluntly, an obvious excuse, a lie that she isn't single, a fake number, how?

  • What do you do if a stranger asks for your number?

You catch a guy you've never met before eyeing you. You smile because it would be awkward to just look away. The next thing you know, he comes over and talks to you. Then he asks for your number. You're single, but you're also not the type of girl to just give away your number like that. Maybe your'e interested in him, maybe you're not. If you're not interested in him, how do you tell him, "no." If you might be interested in him, what do you say and/or do?

  • Where can I get a permanent address?

Within the last year, I've moved 4 times because of new jobs. As a result, it is becoming such a hassle to change my address time after time. Is there a way to set a "fake" permanent address that I don't physically reside in? Not really a fake address, but just as something to use for my driver's license, magazine subscriptions, etc. I don't know. How do people who move around a lot manage this ordeal?

  • Does the preference of a female model look change with time?

For example, one year, chubby women are the rage as female models. Then next year, it's skinny women. First, it's women with big eyes. Then women with tiny eyes. First, it's the squarish face look, and next, it's the triangular face shape. Are certain features preferred over others for all time? Like sharp noses are always preferred over flat ones? Or tall women over short women? What do you think?

  • Belkin always need to be rebooted when connection drops?

I have Belkin Router and a Motorola Surfboard cable modem. Now, my internet service, which is Time Warner, sucks, because it drops every hour. Don't tell me to switch my service, because it's the only available one here besides AT&T; I do not like AT&T. As soon as the connection drops, the modem also reconnects itself. I've already tried the modem without the router, and it still drops.

The problem is that even though the modem reconnects, the router does not! On my computer, the wireless says that there is internet access. But my router's light is yellow instead of blue. And I cannot connect to any websites. I have to manually restart the router every time my connection drops. It takes about 30 secs, but it's annoying. Why can't the router just automatically reconnect itself to the modem?

  • Where did the idea of "interest" as in money come from?

When you return money that you borrowed, you pay it back with interest. Who came up with this idea? It led to banks, stocks, credit cards, and other investments. It's so brilliant. What if this idea never came about? What if everyone only returned what they owed without interest? Then banks and every financial establishment would be out of business. Crazy.

  • Do you hang out at Barnes & Noble all day?

I'm planning on spending a good half-day just sitting and reading in Barnes & Noble every Sunday. In other words, I'm going to treat it like a library. You think the store people mind? Do people already do this?
