How long does it take for someone hospitalized by drug overdose to "get over it"?
One of my online friends was allegedly hospitalized for drug overdose and the next day, not even a full 24 hours later, they re out of the hospital and posting like normal. I m left questioning how they could get over such a serious episode so quickly, not to mention physically impossible, even if their overdose was caught in the early hours. This sounds cruel to say but shouldn t they be suffering from some measure of mental or physical incapacity at this point? It seems more than a little fishy to me.
1 AnswerMedicine6 years agoHow can I fix my **** personality?
I make friends really easily but have a hard time keeping them. I just can t see people as people. After knowing someone for a while I start seeing them as a thing to take advantage of and exploit. Until now I didn t even know I was like this, and now that I do I m really trying to fix myself but it s just making me hate myself more lol.
3 AnswersPsychology6 years agoPhysics spring problem?
Does the amount of work it takes to stretch a spring from 2 to 3cm vary from the amount of work it takes to stretch a spring from 6 to 7 cm?
It would be great if you included an explanation with the spring equation F=-kx and the work equation W=fd
Thanks!

3 AnswersPhysics6 years agoDo colleges racially distinguish amongst applicants?
I've always had a notion in my mind that colleges racially distinguish amongst their applicants, and recently I heard that this is actually true. A friend told me that colleges accept a certain % of applicants from each race so that minorities can attend colleges equally. But then I began to wonder that maybe this would work against ethnic groups like Asians (not being racist, just an example) who have higher % SAT test score on average than other ethnic groups. For example, if you were Asian, you would have to have a much higher SAT score than say, a white person, to compete with fellow Asians in order to apply to the same school. Is this true? And if it is, could you explain to me the details and more in depth? Thanks :)
Again, not trying to be racist, I was just trying to simplify my question so that you could understand what I was trying to ask.

3 AnswersLanguages8 years agoHow to get my dog to stop peeing on the rug/carpet?
She has pee pads that we change every other day and she goes out regularly but she still insists upon marking the carpet. We are a pretty busy family so we can't watch her 100% of the time, so please don't suggest that. She also doesn't really seem to care where she pees as long as she can pee on it so sprays don't work either -- she just pees in a different place. She also uses the pee pads whenever we can't let her out, but every few days she'll just go pee on the rug apparently just for the heck of it. I don't know what's causing this behavior so I can't really stop it. And she knows it's wrong because we've punished her whenever we caught her at it and she acts guilty when we come home by trying to hide in a crack between the fridge and the wall (which is actually pretty hilarious) but we really want to stop this behavior because it looks like this might have to be the third rug we are throwing out.
6 AnswersDogs8 years agoHorrible sunburn D:? What do I do?
I was outside this morning at a volunteer service washing cars for about 6 hours (9-2pm. I had a lot of sunscreen on my face and upper arms but I didn't apply any to my legs since I was wearing long capris and I thought it would be fine. I was actually fine the entire time and a while afterwards and it started turning red and hurting around 6pm. Now, my legs and the tops of my feet are slightly swollen and a dark red. This is pretty much the worst sunburn I've ever had and my mom is freaking out about how she should have made me wear sunscreen etc. and we may or may not go to the hospital depending on how much worse it gets. What should I do as treatment for now? It's been getting steadily worse and it's burning now and it's been about 6 more hours since it started reddening. Would wrapping them in cold wet towels be enough? What would be the worse case scenario? And what happens if it starts blistering ? I can hardly walk right now....

Federal assault weapons ban that banned all semiautomatic weapons?
Could someone please explain to me WHO or what group this ban affected? Was it just civilians and the general public, or were police officers or soldiers affected as well(because that wouldn't make sense) Up till now I just thought that all semiautomatic weapons were simply banned from production so that the general public couldnt get to them? Someone plz explain....
And YES, I understand that this ban is no longer in effect and that it expired in 2004.... But I still need to know who was affected by this ban. And no, Please don't spam my wall with anything about whether or not this ban will come into effect again. >.<

This morning I went to check on my gerbil to find that almost two cm of my gerbils tail was missing. The bone was still there, but it was caked in blood, and I'm not sure if it will be ok? My dad said something about how he was trying to move the cage but the gerbil almost fell so he caught it by the tail and it just came off. Has anyone ever had this happen? O.O

7 AnswersElections10 years agosooo.... a friend of mine told me a bug got up her vag...?
She said that she woke up with a bunch of bug bites all over her, and there were like, 3 or 4 bites around "that" area down there, and somehow apparently she also felt some around the "inside" of her vagina, and there were more around the entrance, so shes pretty sure there is one up there. also, the bites that I saw on her arm look pretty bad, and really red. theyre sort of welt shaped, or almond shaped....shes freaking out becasue she thinks that the bug might have layed eggs inside her or whatever, she hasnt had sex or whatever, doesnt masturbate, and shes pretty sure it happened in her sleep. she cant see a doctor for personal reasons, so no commenting about seeing a doctor or anything. How long can a bug survive up there, and can they lag eggs?
and yes, she is hygenic, she takes 1 shower a day, she lives in a clean house, she doesnt smell or anything like taht, so nothing mean please......
