I'm doing a school project involving programming in Visual Basic, and I need to use sin45 and cos45, which are equal to 1/root2. But I can't do roots in VB, so I need it in index form or whatever, where it's a power instead. Can someone give me the answer? And if possible explain how to do it? I tried a bunch of combinations of random stuff and couldn't figure it out.

I noticed on Aeria Games a while ago that my AP (real money currency) had all been used up. I contacted Aeria and they fixed it all up, telling my my account was compromised. I got it all back, changed my password, and that was that.

Just now, however, I received an email on my phone from Cryptic Studios reminding me to change my password. I looked at it, and got onto my computer to change my password. BUT, the email had disappeared, and my deleted items folder was empty (I rarely empty it too).

On top of that, just when I to log into Yahoo through my Google account, it said I had changed my password 3 months ago, when I haven't changed it at all. I am changing all my passwords, changed my Google one too.

But how deep could this be? I mean, if it is the same person/group that got into my Aeria account, what could they do? They took $40 worth of in game currency. I don't have bank details, but my parents have bought things online from my PC.

Help? This is important.

Also, I use HTTPS Everywhere google gadget thingy, and try to get it on everything.

Got a load of questions for homework and I'm confused on the first one.

2a^2 + 11a + 5

the answer is (2a + 1)(a + 5)

How would I go about getting that?

There was an example before that confused me. I will try to type it out how it's written in my book.

-1x^2 -8x + 9 ....................................... a * b = -9

=1x^2 - 9x + 1x + 9 .............................. a + b = -8

= x(x+9)(x-1)

I understand the factorising of -8x + 9 but how would I do that for 11a + 5?

Are the holes on the splitter both 3.5mm? There's no point in me getting a headset with a mic if I can't use the mic.

Having a disagreement with a friend. He seems to think that if an installer takes a lot of RAM to run, just to install the game, it would take more RAM to play the game.

But am I right in saying that they are two completely different things?

Installing is simply extracting files to a new location, and launching a game and playing is simply running the program through the RAM and CPU? Playing the game uses, changes and creates files, but does not extract them?

That is my view.

He is saying that each time something happens in a game, files are extracted and changed, much like installing a game, where it extracts and relocates files.

But by his reasoning, he is saying that if an installer takes a lot of RAM to install a game, the game will take even more RAM.

We need a third party here. Who is right?

I'm building a gaming PC for the first time and I was wondering if the NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower case (not the full tower) is compatible with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU fan.

Probably getting an ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX motherboard too, but I don't think that matters. Just wondering, because it has a lot of bits sticking up around the CPU socket and I don't want them to touch.

I mean while you download the torrent, if you have a high upload speed, would you be able to download what you upload, making it faster? I hope that makes sense.

I start the download of the update, it peaks at about 600kb/s after around 4 seconds, then drops for about 5 seconds until it reaches 0, where it stays. The only way I can keep the download going is pausing it after it hits 0, waiting about 10 seconds, and starting the download again. Is this a problem with my internet or Steam? (The game update is for the Dota 2 Halloween event)

I have Skyrim, running on minimum settings at about 25fps just on my school laptop. I want to build a computer that can run it on max settings going at least 45fps. Parts and prices please? Including a Windows 7 64 bit OS.
