I'm a Supportive Home Health Aide. What's the best way to shower a client without getting soaked in the process?
As a supportive home health aide I regularly need to assist a client(s) in showering. The client is elderly and able to stand in the shower by holding onto a grab bar. This person usually needs extra attention cleaning the perineal area due to incontinence. This takes a few minutes to complete so, do to water from the shower head bouncing off the client I often end up soaked. Then I'll have a hour or two left for assisting in dressing, meal prep, feeding, and doing light housework. The bathroom is on the small side and the shower stall is shallow but big enough for the client. Since I usually have to go to my next client immediately afterwards I don't have much time to change clothes. Any suggestions on staying dry? Thanks!

1 AnswerFashion & Accessories4 years agoShould I buy her a new ring?
My wife lost her engagement ring after she put it in her pocket at work and the pants she was wearing got washed at a public laundromat. We looked and looked but could not find it. We put up a flyer a few days later but nothing so far. She feels really terrible about it. I have tried to console but it keeps coming up.
Here's my plan:
On our next anniversary I plan to give her another ring and call it "will you continue to be married to me ring". Is this a good or bad idea. Please give me your thoughts. Thanks.
14 AnswersMarriage & Divorce4 years agoIf one fat guy calls another fat guy "big" is that offensive?
I'm a cashier. A customer came through my register buying some sweatpants. They were big, so I said, "These are big." I'm a large man myself, so I didn't think anything of it. He then writes a letter to the president of the big box chain I work for and says he was offended. I got a verbal reprimand over it. I think the whole thing is ridiculous. Why are people so easily offended? Why do we have to be politically correct all the time?
3 AnswersOther - Society & Culture9 years agoIn the movie Blade Runner what happen to the 6th replicant?
In the scene where Deckart talks to Captain Bryant, Bryant states that 6 replicants escaped and 1 was "fried" before reaching Earth. Deckart kills 2 (Zora and Pris), Rachael shoots Leon to rescue Deckart, and Roy's four year lifespan expires after the "tears in rain" monologue. Rachael is a replicant but she is not part of the 6 escapees. So that's 5 total. What happened to #6? I've been pondering on this for years.
1 AnswerMovies9 years agoDo you have to use a ceremonial sword for hari-kari or could you use a large kitchen knife instead?
What I mean is after you insert the blade would a kitchen knife be sharp enough to complete the event.
Please Bible Thumpers, I don't need your input.
4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture10 years agoWho invented clear aluminum?
I was watching an old Star Trek movie. The last one with the full original cast; where they bring two whales into the future. There is a scene in which Scotty and Bones are trying to get material to build a giant tank to hold the whales inside the Klingon space ship. They go to a manufacturer and offer him the formula for "Clear Aluminum" in exchange for the materials. Scotty and Bones don't know who invented Clear Aluminum and the manufacturer who will eventually place the patent in the 20th century didn't really invent it, so who did? If you think of this as a thought experiment would this prove that other universes exist? Did Scotty and Bones create a new universe?

4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoAm I missing something? (Sucker Punch movie)?
So the other night I saw the Sucker Punch movie and was disappointed when one of the characters gave the whole story away twenty minutes into it. After that it was just pointless action scenes since I knew what was going to happen. However, I did stay to the end because the acting was fair. As the credits came up this guy 6 rows ahead of me rose up and gave a standing ovation for 30 seconds. Is he stupid or did I miss something. Tell the truth.
4 AnswersMovies1 decade agoCan a vegetarian survive on only vegetables?
I know there is protein in peanut butter but its possible to exist without any meat or meat substitutes? I talking no soy none that other stuff that's made in a factory that's made to look like meat. It was recently suggested to me that it was possible. It was my understanding that to be healthy humans need what is in both vegetables and meat plus water. If I'm wrong correct me.
12 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoWhy is it okay for a normal weight person to wear a fat suit in movies and tv and we call it humor?
Why is it considered different from a white person wearing black face and pretending to be black. To me they are both equally offensive.
Please no dumb off the cuff answers. I already heard them 1000 times before. Thanx
3 AnswersPsychology1 decade agoIs it just me or has the Gatling gun been used a lot in the movies recently?
I've seen Gatling guns mounted on a stagecoach, on a crazy cyborg, on a horse (I know; dumb), and now on a low-rider (Machete). Enough is enough! Right?

2 AnswersWeather1 decade agoIs it normal for a healthy horse to lie on it's side motionless (Read below before answering.)?
I was driving by this grassy field where there were two horses and a donkey in front of an old farm house. One of the horses and the donkey were standing but the other horse was laying motionless on its side. I called the non-emergency police phone number for my town and the dispatcher told me, "Oh, don't worry the horse is fine. We get this call three times a week." How come (I live in a rural area) I've never seen this before?

4 AnswersEarth Sciences & Geology1 decade agoCan't wait for the VP debates Joe Biden vs. Sarah Palin?
Neither can I. They're going to be better than Lloyd Benson vs. Dan Quayle when Dukakis ran for President! If you don't remember Quayle that's okay. The Republicans would like to forget him too. He's the VP who couldn't spell "Potato". How about some feedback? At least a couple of sentences please.
18 AnswersElections1 decade agoIf you had the money to invest in a sequel movie...?
what would it be? I'd like to see sequels to "Ferris Bueler's Day Off " and "Being John Malkovitz ". I think these stories have more to tell. Both were well written.
